god the jake injury is absolute murder, because this team just has the IT factor that the last two years have not had.

stars look interested and rejuvenated. have the fresh infusion of a young guy or two. i wont blame kessel. the dude did what he was supposed to (frank)ing do. but there is just a vigor up and down the lineup right now.

if this team had crosby come back guentzel and even just one of dumo/schultz, it would be foolish to count them out for a potential cup run. i dont know if theyll have the horses or not depending on who comes back, but its hard not to be proud of these guys top to bottom right now.

I've been wondering when or if the depth of this team would eventually get exposed against really good teams. Basically we have one true scoring line. Lines 2 and 3 are mostly comprised of complimentary players....nobody to really drive those lines. 4th line is getting smoked. Adding Sid is going to make a huge difference.
