Toews may yet develop into a solid NHL d-man, but he's not there yet. Hopefully, we'll see improvement like we did with Pelech and Mayfield, both of whom looked shaky a few years ago.

Toews may yet develop into a solid NHL d-man, but he's not there yet. Hopefully, we'll see improvement like we did with Pelech and Mayfield, both of whom looked shaky a few years ago.

I think so. He's been inconsistent at best the past several games. But as Upstate said, the rule of thumb is 300 games, and I don't think Toews is anywhere near that number yet. So I have hope for him.

I've not seen some of the games but I keep hearing Toews has struggled lately. Dobson is not completely ready which is not a surprise. Still think the right move was to keep him with the team. Lou needs to address the forward issue or this season is in big trouble. Dobson or the D as a whole will not sink the season. It will be the offense like last year.

I'm still fine with the defense overall. The offense has been an issue for a long while now and needs to be addressed sooner rather than later. Eberle is killing this team in particular. Lou has not done a good job with this roster yet.

I agree about Lee. Not a good start to his 7 year contract. Schwein better talk to his buddy. More and More I'm thinking just letting Eberle walk would not have been terrible. Least they would have gotten Cap space.
