It's all very odd to me. At least to me, I'm probably being irrational and just hoping a move was made that will buttress the loss of Jake.

The obvious reason is Jarry probably tweaked something, so they just want him to get rest, not practice or skate. There's a distinct possibility if he did tweak something they aren't sure if it's something that will keep him out a couple of games and just want to get ahead of it.

The reason they're giving IMO is just stupid and makes no sense. I think they're just being super secretive about a possible injury.

It's a little odd in hockey far as I know, but in baseball they do it all the time with starting pitchers. Might as well be in his own bed instead of an overnight flight if he's not playing. It's a good idea.

"When a player clears waivers [which DeSmith did in October] and is sent down and then is called up again, he does not have to clear waivers to be sent down again unless he has played ten games or has been "up" for 30 days."
