Actually everyone here will go nuts.
One group will say we did not get enough.
One group will say we should have gotten more.
One group will say we never should have traded him.
One group will say we should have traded him last summer.
One group will say that there were better offers that Stan turned down.
One group will say Pittsburgh was offering Malkin for Gus.

FIXED

Some fans were hot under the collar with demand and expectation that on Jan 2 - when M Crawford returned - both Colliton and Bowman would be fired.

Perhaps Colliton gets a pink slip after the season. Remember that he has another year on his contract AND Crawford is helping out. The biggest fear may be the horrendous style they play and reservation about the system now as well. Could that get Colliton fired? Before we reply, demur please to the won lost record and fans filling the seats. That is what warms the heart and bank account Rocky and McDonough value most as bottom line.

As for the renumeration on the trade front, I doubt there is an impact player to play in a top six forward or dman top four defense available for what Bowman is willing to ship out

C Crawford might be deemed too valuable as he is part of a strong goaltender duo which is a key in winning games this season Moreover, despite being in a rebuild on the fly there is great desire to see if we can hang in and challenge for even the last remaining playoff spot.

I am naturally excited about the Entry Draft because I love draft picks.....but whether we finish with few points so to be inclusive in the draft lottery ....this is not how we should be thinking if our team is competitive enough to go far into the season challenging for the playoffs.

Now whether Gus stays or goes and Crawford too ....wiz always says there is value so try for a #2 round (in a deep draft year). I would like to believe there is some way to trade either of them so that we could exchange first round picks. That means a better opportunity to draft a future core player. But with many teams challenging for post season berth and the lottery opportunity for a really early pick, to acquire an early first round pick is tough to accomplish.

So I am guessing Gus for a #2 2020 and Crawford for a pick if he is too despondant playing second fiddle to Lehner (can Corey handle that role even with his still getting plenty of games/he is proud to have been #1 for many seasons)

What, are you crazy? Frolik on the wrong side of 30, and Saad is only 27.

I'll say this about what is crazy - it is the opportunity and timing of trades. Bowman could pursue many trade avenues but as the paucity of veteran descent skill players dries up it is it not necessarily from lack of effort or lack of his making a fair offer. Bowman may monitor GM whispering league wide but gets beat to the punch due to timing and fickle attitude in moving players.

Scandella and M Reilly just were handed plane tickets for their new address.

He came the middle of '13-'14, he wasn't good until his second season.

I think technically he started with Savard, not sure without looking it up. If you say Roszival we're all the way up to one possibly.

This is going to be a tough game tonight, Nucks are playing well. Here’s to Gus getting three points tonight, up the return. Go Hawks!

Refs must be on East Coast time. How did they miss Markstrum play the puck in the no-touch zone before they scored the PP goal? He passed it to himself but through the no-touch zone. Isn't that playing it in the zone?

Did he touch the puck in the no-touch zone?

You can pass it to yourself thru the zone if you don’t touch the puck inside it.

Also most likely to happen: for a couple more games or so Sikura replaces Nylander
And Maata will stay in and Koekkoek out Although Koekkoek has good showing with Murphy, according to advanced stats reported on this blog

Late add: Frolic to Buffalo for a 4th round

Good 1st period on the road, only 7 shots for Vancouver. Gus was +1, meaningless stat for the most part, but hey I’ll take any positive stat when Gus is involved.

Markstrom has rebounds galore. Just park in front of him & go to work. Hawks are looking very good besides that.

(frank), too soon.
