Just think how many points Kane would have if we had a good power play (Or ADB whiffing on shots we buried last year), let alone top-tier linemates. - LAHawk
ADB could be the key to finally start the engine. Even in the best of times, he was an incredibly streaky scorer. If ever a man were to go on a tear, he's the guy. I suggest it start tonite. Could very easily happen, but still have my doubts. GO HAWKS GD-it!!!

My goal wasn't to be snarky about Carpenter/Sikura, moreso reflective of the lack of depth on this roster when clear bottom-6 guys are up with your most dynamic player.
I was rationalizing watching so much Hawks when the team is clearly missing parts. Having Kane 2/3 shifted makes it more exciting....at least we get to see the hell used out of him in his prime. - phantasmo
All Dach's faullt for fitting in so well with ADB and Strome, he was supposed to e the 3C.

You and me both. Just wait until we trade Gus and see the return we get, some people here will go nuts. - Angotti
Just so we dont have to watch him every night would be return enough. |

At least Galchenyuk has had decent success in the NHL. Don't think it makes sense. He is not on an entry level contract, an upcoming RFA or cost controlled for term. Doesn't work on a lot of levels.
Saad to a win now team like Colorado or the Oilers that are a bit more desperate and have some assets wouldn't be a bad idea. Arizona needs scoring but may not have the cap space. - fattybeef
Galcheynuk is to make the numbers work for Pittsburgh. He is a UFA after this year, my goal with this suggested trade was to get the 2 kids. |

JC is a very bad coach is why. Nothing to do with the roster.

Thats Toews throne, until overthrown.
Dach should take his helping of 7:30 as 4C and like it.
Silly rookie, you need veteran #leadership and #grit to make it in todays NHL! |

And that we hate on a player because they were traded for one of our favorites (Murphy, Nylander) - LAHawk
Show me a Dman who was good the first year with Q from outside the organization.

From what I hear Rangers are asking for a first and mid level prospect for Kreider who is strictly a rental. Saad is a better all around player than Kreider, and has better offensive stats then Kreider with one more year of control. With Hall off the market until free agency, I would hold out and see if you can get that for Saad, Hawks don't have to trade him either. - LAHawk
Kreider is still a Ranger... |

Actually everyone here will go nuts.
One group will say we did not get enough.
One group will say we should have gotten more.
One group will say we never should have traded him.
One group will say we should have traded him last summer. - -Doh-
You left out resigning him... |

They dumped Scandella, so they could trade for him. Won't lie, I really liked Frolik. Wouldn't mind him back, but not at that salary. |

He’s maybe worth a 3rd, if Stan retains some salary. |

One would think that Bowman's job is on the line here...if that is the case...I expect him to deal if the Hawks are within playoff distance. Just my hunch. |

What, are you crazy? Frolik on the wrong side of 30, and Saad is only 27. |

Biggest "tell" on the lineup is that Carpenter is your #2 center.
Carpenter-Sikura....where does this rank in terms of linemate combos for #88? Woof!!!!! - phantasmo
Powers had the same thought this morning.
6. What’s especially notable about Kane’s points this season is he isn’t often given the luxury of playing with the Blackhawks’ top players. While Nylander and Sikura have offensive upside, they aren’t proven NHL players. Carpenter, who has been centering Kane’s line as of late, has never had more than 18 points in a season.
Here are the top 10 forwards in points and their current linemates according to dailyfaceoff.com.
Connor McDavid: James Neal and Zack Kassian
Leon Draisaitl: Joakim Nygard and Kailer Yamamoto
Brad Marchand: Patrice Bergeron and David Pastrnak
David Pastrnak: Bergeron and Marchand
Nathan MacKinnon: Gabriel Landeskog and Joonas Donskoi
Artemi Panarin: Ryan Strome and Jesper Fast
Jack Eichel: Victor Olofsson and Sam Reinhart
Jonathan Huberdeau: Aleksander Barkov and Evegeni Dadonov
Kane: Ryan Carpenter and Dylan Sikura
Auston Matthews: Zach Hyman and Mitch Marner |

Big difference between a 4th and 1st. He will never bring a 1st unless you say 24th pick or something like that.
