You believe Eddie O on that? Very questionable push, or, the skater made it look like a push. There was time to stop before contact. - powerenforcer
Not 100% on that, but the 'Nuck guy definitely stayed on top of Lehner too long, IMHO... |

Players STILL allowed to run Chicago's goalies. - powerenforcer
You beat me to it! Get some defenseman that can clear the crease , Our guys are not that small but a lot of them skate around with a dozen eggs in their pants and shoulder pads trying to avoid contact. This is how Corey Crawford got hurt and now Robin Lehner,Leading the pack is Gus he’s full of poop, he will come and get involved once he know the referees are close by, same thing with his accidental scrap earlier in the year. I guarantee you he would be the last one to get involved in a scrap with no one around where they are just Chuckin rights and lefts Dave Manson, Scott Stevens style! He’s bullpoop. |

Lehner not practicing today, Lankinen has been recalled on an emergency basis.

That would be the prudent move. It’s time to start selling, everyone must go - Gustafsson, Crawford, Saad, Maatta, Strome, Smith, Kubalik, Nylander, Murphy and Caggiula. Burn it all down and start again. |

Big time. The players would not like that, they are still mathematically involved in a playoff race. |

I believe my eyes - Lehner out of the crease, Toews shoving not more than 3 feet beyond the goalie, still in contact with the Canuck when he fell on Lehner.

We don't want, nor have any use for, guys who come to the aid of their teammates. Such men are Neanderthals from a bygone era. Goons, as it were. They are not wanted. We luxuriate in our own rarefied air. "Please get off our injured goalie, sir!"

Just read that JC said Lehner is considered day-to-day and continues to be evaluated.
My guess - Lehner is out for several weeks. |

Agree. Stuff happens. No intent to injure, simple byproduct of a tough, gnarly, intense sport. Still, should have been roughly escorted away by the Praetorian guard. By Gus? Please. |

Hawks are 6-4 in the last ten. They are down 2 defensemen and 2 forwards, but are playing their best hockey of the year.

No, it would be a move fueled with impudence. Who really runs this show, boys? Time to strap on the gear, and ratchet up the compete level. Why not? (Seeing they'll never/ ever, burn it down). I'm not suggesting they do anything rash. What I am suggesting, is that they will probably arrive at the exact same destination with either option.

Seems that at least one has to be decent. It could be a playoff roster being dragged down by a crap coach. Or the coach is propping up a crap roster?

Roster would be a lot better with 2013 Hossa and Sharp and of course Frolik.

Both of those guys that I mentioned could play the game and I believe both of them made All-Star teams in their era. |

How about displaying whatever defensive bonafides you possess against a poor team, upon demand? Anybody up for a little heart or defensive stones to assist a young netminder? (Potentially one of our future netminders?)

I'm certainly not doubting your fine examples. But, when they were young guys in the league, were they perceived as gimmes as automatic All-Stars? Probably not. They had to finetune their craft on a historical timeline. Whether others can replicate this ability over time, remains the unanswered question. We might not know the answer in just a year or two. I can live with that.
