he might be done period.
With his history and now has a young family. He has made some $$$ and won two cups. Yes he is a highly competive guy and for sure loves the game but the way he plays and the hits he gives and sustains...**yikes** he really should give serious thought to leaving the ice. - bogiedoc
Certainly from everything you hear, it sounds like it may be going that way.
Loved him, but I think everyone would agree you don't want to see him living a miserable life down the road.
Now to the business side of it, what does it mean for the cap if he has to retire? or do they do the LTIR for life and eventually trade the contract? |

There are shows on SyFy that are better, if you are looking for sci-fi. As I have told others, you only think this show is good because of all the bad before it. Or like Eddie Murphy once said, “Feed a starving man a cracker and you would think you gave a steak.” - gifman
Ok, thanks for explaining to me why I find something enjoyable... |

Don't know if this has been discussed yet but there is an interesting article in The Rink regarding the Oilers and Avalanche being very interested in Saad. Evan Bouchard and a 1st or 2nd for Saad was one thought. It certainly would free up cap space for next year. Thoughts? - FourOrr
For the right return, the Hawks should be looking to move a lot of players. |

Don't get caught up in names bandied about for the reported trade proposals.
Why would Bouchard be offered? They drafted for a need - Dman - in first round. You think they trade his potential for a third line north south wing who had bad finishing touch in scoring. The people who tbrow out names in trades are as reputable as the newstand Star writers And why would Bowman want another dman prospect. |

Since Buffalo seems to be open for trades and just traded a left handed defenseman, I would like to see something like Gus and Smithe heading their way for Rodrigues and Bogosian |

Powerenfircer would like B Murray because he will bring aboard also Corey Perry and Getzlaf type players. |

Take a #2 2020 instead of a dman who would just be in town for a short stay and had been called out as pretty bad (Bogisian). I am not real familiar with Rodriguez but do we need another body when we have plenty of future very good fit for bottom lines ...prepping in the AHL |

5 mil dman expiring end of the year for a 3.25 mil player the fans fuss about that is under contract 2 more years. Low risk trade in my opinion offering offseason flexibility, especially if Stan sells. |

They won't fire Stan because there isn't a GM in the world who would take the job without being allowed to clean house and Rocky isn't going there. |

Why would Toronto trade him? He's signed at a very reasonable cap hit for 2 more years. Also, I don't think the Hawks have what Toronto needs, dmen. |

Cap space going forward be only reason for trading him imo. Toronto in a couple of years will have sign reily Anderson and others so trading kappean now might give them flexibility for the future. |

Saw a video yesterday with him alone on the ice taking some play shots at the fans at the glass in the practice arena. Today, he's on the bench observing practice. |

Toews pushed him into Lehner. I agree with you about Malkin hitting Crawford, but not this one. |

You believe Eddie O on that? Very questionable push, or, the skater made it look like a push. There was time to stop before contact. |
