Yup for the amount of sh&t Jake gets - he's been more consistent than ever, seeing him make much smarter plays when entering the O-zone lately - I noticed he's been imitating Miller, how he drives down low, stops, peels back and looks for options and creating more chances. In the past, he would take that bad angle shot or rip around the back of the net and blindly pass out front, regardless of who was there. 14 pts in his last 15 games.

Totally agree. He enters the zone, heads up and if the drive to the net isnt there, he stops up with posession. Looking for the smart play now. Hope he keeps it up and contunues to grow.

I like Jake but you have to admit he has been a flake and a disappointment until late last year. He is now turning into the player we had hoped we drafted and not some skirt chasing hamburger munching coke head.

He is turning it around and good on him and lucky for us.

Everyone thought Ferland would help Jake it turns out the Miller trade has had an even better payoff. Miller actually can connect better with JV having had issues as a first rounder and turning his game around to where he's on pace for a career year.
