I hope that was a rhetorical question.

No it wasn't. Maybe I just don't see it like the hockey geniuses on here.

Really, Brock has been pretty stagnant playing with him.

Boeser's on pace to score ~30 goals, right where he's been the past two years. The addition of Miller has taken a bit of pressure off Boeser and he's had to make some adjustments....he's fine.

I wasn't claiming Elias isn't a very good player, I asked if he makes players better, which I dont believe he has yet.

Now, now. I wasn’t being insulting. I just think it’s obvious that Elias is not a selfish player and is as good a passer as he is a goal scorer.

Just because things aren’t jiving right now doesn’t mean EP lacks the ability to make line mates better.

Well if you can't see that he's made some great plays which others have benefited from (as in the video) I'm sorry but I can't help you see it more clearly. He draws the opposition to him (like Henrik used to do) which frees up Miller and Boeser and the point guys, he's made good plays in the corners on puck battles, he's made great outlet passes to guys breaking up the middle, etc. etc.

I got to know Reuben’s criterion.

His want to win attitude alone makes his line mates better. That drive to be the best is contagious.

I 100% believe he does. Aren’t your main criticisms of Brock about his play away from the puck? EP has no influence on that. And I don’t think it’s a coincidence that both of EP’s wingers are on pace for career high point totals.

Boeser scored 29 goals playing with Bo, 26 last season playing with Elias...hmmm,Bo doesn't make players better, but Elias does, lol, some of you guys need to take off your blinders.

the PP is where he shines the most. If PK’ers didn’t have to respect his shot then EP would get smothered on every PP.

Man the hot takes are wild today. The issues with this team is the supporting cast and over reliance on the top guns to score 2-3 goals to win a game. You guys have it backward.

The only argument I’ll buy is that Brock sucks defensively

BB scored 29 when he was an unknown entity. Playing with EP, they will be facing the opposition’s best. I don’t think that is a reasonable example of why EP lacks the ability to make others better.

Yes to all. I’m the one who’s been saying trade BB but even I realize that Brock is valuable on the PP.

If he doesn’t succeed there I don’t know...

The coincidence is Miller is also a very good player.
I think it is funny how the Elias for captain crowd, can make claims that Bo is bad at almost everything and Elias is a god. Lmfao

I am happy we have 2 very good centers, in Elias and Bo, while others try to make claims like Gaudette will be 2nd line centre.

Fair point.

But look at the time and space on some of his goals during that 29 goal season, he wasn’t keyed on defensively as much as he is now. Hell, some opposing coaches still played their top dmen against the declining twins.

There’s a reason he shot 16% that season and now has settled into the 11-13% range, he gets more respect/attention from opposing teams today then he did back then.
