Man, the oilers are in some cap issues and have almost no one besides Mcjesus, dria, nurse (huge raise coming).

RNH - over paid
Both goalies - over paid
Neal - we all know
Both nurse and bear needing raises
They buy outs and retained are worst then us

They need a miracle and no injury to the top 2.

I believe Brackett said some thought he had the best hands in the draft.

More from Weisbrod on Nils Höglander: We drafted him knowing he could become an offensive producer, but more for the heart and soul aspects of his game - now he's come into his own offensively, now all the sudden it feels like the whole package.More from Weisbrod: The past couple drafts we've had lots of "flash and dash" with Petey, Brock & Quinn, we hope Vasili can be a compliment player, different style different type, you need those kinds to win also.

#Canucks Assistant GM John Weisbrod on Podkolzin: He's not just a power forward physically, when you get to know him he's a power forward in mind...he's always serious, always straight-faced, not a light-hearted chap most of the time, obviously that's something we need a bit.

This made my pants tight:

Sweden World Juniors head coach Tomas Moten on Hoglander : “He is a difference maker, he has a bigger hockey IQ than I do. It’s like he studies the game 20 hours a day. He is also a very calm, down to earth person, keeps cool and I think that helps him.”

Watching him this week he reminds me of a cross of Hughes and Petey

Remember this one?

"We have not taught Elias (Pettersson) anything about the game of hockey, he is teaching us", Växjö Lakers head coach Sam Hallam after tonight's 4-point performance and scoring record #Canucks #SHL

Jake said he’s trying to work on his one timer by watching EP.

He's shifty and has a high hockey IQ. Could use the size and country comparison of Victor Arvidsson. I do think they play pretty similar. I had Hoglander as the 21st or 24th best player in my draft rankings at a 55-60 point range at best. I think he would be a really good compliment for Bo for speed and playmaking for him.

I think Arvidsson is a better scorer, he shoots the puck a lot

Scroll down and you can find the u20 under the NHL and if you click on the games a little box will come up and you can click on the little play button beside the gaols and you can see all the goal highlights.

Since watching 4 games in one day is a lot for most.

I think he is going to be a Petey lite. Truthfully I am past looking for wingers for Bo.

I think in two years Podk and Hog will both be on the Canucks and adding skill to the top 6 . I don't necessarily think Bo will be top 6 . I think they might have a different second line center by then.

Hoglander continues to impress at World Jrs, and the Canucks are looking to keep things rolling tonight as the Kings deal with a back-to-back after a late comeback win on Friday in San Jose.
