With Russia trouncing them on Saturday, and the US beating Russia yesterday, if the US beats the Czechs in regulation today and Canada goes to OT with either Germany or the Czechs today or tomorrow, the US wins the pool. If Canada wins in regulation both today and tomorrow, they win the pool.

This is a less depressing hockey topic than our Buffalo Sabres.

E1 on the Leafs, Sabres rumour. Sabres offer up Scandella, second round pick and another grade A prospect or starting player for Kapanen. If I hear it one more time it’s moving to a E1.1

They might end up letting him go, but they barely ever use him. I get that they like how Dawson Knox is progressing, but you can't convince me that they can't find a bigger role for Kroft.

I watched that whole game yesterday, one thing stood out to me above all. We still can't pass worth poop!

Some many times on the break out pass, the pass was in the skates or behind the player and the break out was disrupted.

Also, when on the PP we wait to long for the best scoring chance. Too much perimeter passing and not enough garbage goals like Lazar's Goal last night. This team needs to get dirty...

Pass rusher, receiver, and o line are the biggest needs for the bills.

Tightend is 100% fine. Knox Sweeney and lee smith are a good group. Kroft will get released. My opinion is based on what sal on wgr has said about the tightend group.

Jordan Phillips and Lawson need to be resigned too. But how much do they want?

I just looked at the leafs cap friendly. It’s very odd.

4 rfa’s and one ufa in the forward ranks....

And on d... one player signed after this year. And 1 rfa... they effectively have 2 d men on their roster at the end of the season, one of them is a rfa (demott) and I think will need some cash.

Just look at how Ralph Housley bylsma have all operated the Sabres d. It’s like they generically want to keep things the same and expect different results.

If the Sabres had an coach that actually looked at the Sabres d and made the actual coaching decisions that helps the roster.

Pilut would be up already - he has marinated enough

Bogo would never have played a game

McCabe would be gone by now or benched


But no. It’s the same old poop different day.

The Sabres need a coach and gm that isn’t afraid to do stuff like that.
