Any word on miles wood? Heard he's available.
Born in buffalo, scrappy. Upgrade over a few scrubs.

How about the kid from eden that plays for la?
Iaffalo?

- Boss34

I'd like that other kid from NJ, Coleman. (I know, he's a LW)

Wood is having an awful year.

I get that ..... he has a long way to go
- Sabretooth9

Good thing there's 40 games left. Lots of time to figure it out. Plus the playoffs - good experience.

Unless they trade him.

I wouldn't give him away, though.
- Powerslave

Not nylander territory yet.

Mitts still has value. Top 10 guys keep value, especially in hockey. What is he 20 years old?

Maybe he can be a jody gage in Rochester, expectations were pretty high

I love his game. He's physical, gets his nose dirty, decent hands.

I like Coleman too, but I imagine he's unavailable?
I think he makes wood a possibility.

We need some team toughness.

Wood gives you that, although I don't know how much offense he could bring. Is he another Marcus Foligno?

19 goals 2 years ago
10 goals in 63 games last year.

Better than erod and probably sheary and
Tage ?

Like 89said, bad year this year. 10 points

Would Shero like to reunited with Sheary? šŸ˜‰ (they were together in Pgh, yes?)

The $ work. Probably have to add, though.

Good thought

Wonder if sheary sat in front of shero in team meetings?

So what are we giving up for a pending UFA? Why wouldn't Ottawa just hold onto him until the deadline then, and trade him to a team looking to put themselves over the top, to maximize their return?
- Powerslave

Why are we giving up assets for a UFA who probably won't resign?

I find it hilarious when you guys take someone to task for their assumptions on player availability with respect to trades, on a hockey rumor and discussion board.

Alot of assumptions made here by the defenders of an inactive Jason Botterill.
Who are your sources telling you this as if it were factual? Why would a team paying for a rental be assumed to pay more than a team making a hockey trade? When did pageau say he would not sign with the Sabres?

Edmonton has waived Markus Granlund.
Granlund has three goals and four points in 31 contests this season. He comes with a $1.3 million cap hit, so it's very likely that he'll go unclaimed. If that happens, then the Oilers plan to reassign Granlund to the AHL.

Also Manning was waived.

I feel bad for people who desperately want Botterill fired. It just isnā€™t happening any time soon. Maybe halfway through next year if things look bad
- sbroads24

the people who was in shocked when murray got fired will also be shocked when botts gets fired if we are a bottom 8 team at the end of the year

Donā€™t the oilers need a center about as bad as we do? I mean if itā€™s a cheap move and gives Ralph a little lineup flexibility with the skinner injury (I know lw vs c) but at least a healthy forward?!? šŸ¤·ā€ā™‚ļø

I swear, if Botts did this I would freaking explode and call for his resignation now. Another 5C to join the list of those who can't.

If we are all knowing, according to the insiders in which they say Botts is and has been trying to make a move. Who is he saying no to, if it so easy and out there, what teams are lining up to trade with us.

So there is another Lw to help with the injury, maybe futures? Doesnā€™t do anything for rw or center. And probably makes Vesey and/or grigs sheary expendable. And Iā€™ve kind of liked Vesey recently...

Olo
Skinner (when healthy)
Miles
Vesey
Grigs
Sheary (lets be honest, he isnā€™t a rw)

I find it hilarious when someone criticizes a conversation that didnt involve them in the slightest.

We do not need a rental, we are going to be selling our rentals soon.

Its Called asset management
Jbotts isnt giving future 1sts for pageau.
Think of a similar return to what tyler hall just brought back to NJ.

ā€œA lot of assumptionsā€

Every single reportable nhl reporter has been leaked the same information since October.

Botts has to have made offers or received them since then.

He just hasnā€™t pulled the trigger

We are waiting. His team is sinking again.

Respectable franchises donā€™t let the team sink 2 years in a row and not address the same problems.
