Good win last night, I thought we were the much better team. I'm not sure how they allowed that Horvat goal, I guess the reasoning is you can direct it in with your foot but you can't make a distinct kicking motion....either way, it was a bit cheesy but I'll take it. |

Too many better teams ahead of us, the standings will finish around about where they are now for the Canucks. |

Agree. The three game win streak is all good and fine, but really this team is just too inconsistent to get to the WC spot. I'm hoping they do but realistically it will most likely be next year. |

They're getting there but right now I think Arizona, Vegas, Calgary, Dallas, Edmonton and Nashville are all better hockey teams, for a variety of different reasons. |

WC standings are tight. I have to agree. At least we're getting to see some entertaining hockey. |

I guess it’s how we view the games, I like Horvats game last night. To me that is the way he needs to play...hard on the puck, first to the loose pucks, multiple forced turn overs by him. He played hard, took no prisoners and gave up no open ice.
The thing I didn’t like about the game was, when defending in their own zone the team collapses as a unit, they refuse to pressure the points and teams throw the puck around enough to create open lanes for quality shots. - Makita
I agree. There's a lot of bias going on.
Horvat has been a lot faster the last couple of games. Foot speed improving. He still has problems handling/shooting the puck though. He's still been more effective last couple of games. Their line last night did surprisingly well. Yes, that includes LE although it pains me to say it. |

In my opinion Nashville, Dallas, Calgary and Edmonton will all be challenging for the two wildcard spots after 82 games. Canucks are still just on the outside looking up at them. |

I've seen those go either way. I think with the side scoop, not lifting the skate off the ice makes a difference.

Canucks will pass the Oil. They may have 1 better line but the Canucks for the time being are deeper across the board. Of course that means nothing if injuries go the other way.

I don't think Edmonton is better. They are a two player team. Nashville I think is on par with us, same with Dallas. We had a good shot at a WC spot. The one thing that will hamper us is terrible coaching decisions. |

It'll be interesting to see if those two can continue to prop the team up, if they can, which I think they will, they're just so much better than our big three that our better depth just won't make up the difference. |

I agree with Lefty (Gemma) that Nashville and Dallas as a better team to make the WC.
But if Canucks can stay in the mix with their Pacific rivals, maybe they can get in on division 3rd seed.
I am surprised that the Pacific is so tight right now, Canucks have 2 games in hand on Edmonton and Vegas, and 1 game in hand on Calgary and Arizona, and are 4pts out of 1st, good place to be.

Been saying that for awhile now. Calgary is the target. The Oil we should beat out or it’s a disappointing season.

They had the same two big players last season.
I think they crash and burn. Finishing with more points than the Oil won't guarantee a play off berth neither. I just see them free falling.

Can Green go head to head with Tippett when the stakes are high? |

Definitely not!! The Oilers goaltending is better this year, it's not great, but it's better. That and they have a bit better depth, defense, as well as the coaching, makes it an interesting watch.
Nashville is just a much better team, at least on paper, although they haven't really shown it yet. Same goes for Dallas, not by huge margins though, imo they're just a better team. |

Yup, it will come down to a hot goalie, an adaptable coach, depth and luck. |
