The defence is also the reason you are 10-5 and not 6-9 right now.

And that wasn’t the case yesterday unfortunately

8 yards per attempt is absolutely good.

He wasn’t given many attempts because our defense forced 2 punts all game

- sbroads24

50% completion percentage is....
Not good

There’s no arguing it

Yes, the defense could’ve been better
Allen could’ve been more efficient on our drives to give himself more opportunities as well

Are offense left points on the field, you can't do that against NE, they had a chance to bail are defense out and they didn't. Defense had a bad game, it happens, are offense has had there fair share

“Brady the previous five games completed 51.5 percent of his passes, 12.3 points below his career clip. The Patriots won three of those games, but none against an opponent with a winning record. They began December with consecutive losses to the Houston Texans and at home to the Kansas City Chiefs.”
- Pegullaville

Yeah, their one home loss in 44 games with Brady and Edelman. KC also averages, let's see... 28.1 points per game, so they underperformed by 5 points, and the Bills underperformed by 3(those are also with the NE games, so add a little more, I'm not doing the math). You think they were going to lose 2 in a row? Given the time of year, I find this fitting: Ja, und ich bin der Weihnachtsmann.

3-10 for 19yds before the last drive of the first half
That’s horrible any way u slice it

And what were his stats in between the Brown TD & the last drive of the game?

And it wasn’t just Allen... but he sure as sh!t wasn’t “good” in these times
When there is essentially zero offense for that many drives all game long,
you can’t say he was “good”
No way
That’s setting the bar way too low for your standard of what’s “good”

I don’t know what else to say man. This is absurd.

250 yards and two TD’s is a 4000 yard 32 TD pace over 16 games.

In what make believe world is that not good?

You’re back to making a bad point that we only had 3 good drives (this happens when the other team only gives you 7 possessions) and hammering that bad point into the sun.

Allen was good. Period. Not great. Not spectacular, maybe not really good. Good.

- sbroads24

I just think they don't watch other games and other QBs, amazing QBs even, struggle on half the drives. And only have "good" numbers at the end because of a handful of big plays. If you(you know what I mean) can't see the improvement from the first game at home against the Pats with 3 picks and this game on the road with none you just can't be helped.

In a 34-31 49ers Rams game there were 15 total drives that ended in punts or INTs, with one missed FG.

If the Bills didn’t need a TD on that last drive Allen put them in a position to score 20 points against a top 2 defense on the road.

And that’s not good? Gtfoh.

Wake me up when we get a defensive/special teams/long TD run because it’s happened 0 times this season

This is pretty good, but I guess the next question would be : "Was Josh Allen given ample time and protection to pass effectively ?". From what I could gather, the answer was "no". I'm no Josh Allen lover, but Cody Ford sucked ass.

I'm so out of touch with the NFL nowadays. The Bills have killed my love of football so much that I've never heard of Michael Thomas until Sunday. Anyway, watching that Saints game while on the treadmill at the gym, that guy looked pretty good !

Defense had a disappointing game, it happens they have been a rock most season. Allen missed 2 throws to Knox in the Endzone that a High School QB could make. Are offense had a chance to bail out the defense and they didn't.

Your right, but also if he hits a open Knox in the Endzone on that 1st drive we only need a FG not a touchdown on that last drive

We lost the game, we weren't good enough on both sides of the ball to win. Hopefully they take what they learned from this loss and go get a win in the playoffs. I can say that no team wants to face the Bill's in the in the 1st round, because there a tough out.

On Star Wars:

No spoilers here.

It was good.

The problem with the movie, and why I feel it has received poor reviews from critics is that the character development and character arcs are poor.

A character arc is the change and growth of a character throughout a story. The reason the first three Star Wars were so great(episodes 4, 5 and 6) was because the characters all had great arcs.

Darth Vader was evil but saved his son from the emperor and found redemption. Luke changed from young, week and naive to a powerful and wise Jedi. Han Solo changed from a selfish scoundrel to a caring hero. The trilogy was full of satisfying character arcs where the main characters grew and changed. This is what drives great movies. These character arcs are largely absent from this final trilogy outside of a few main characters where I would argue they have outstanding arcs. But I feel much of the criticism lies here.

The one great character arc in this movie is what saves it IMO.

The acting was very good. The action was amazing. Music amazing. And the plot did a commendable job of wrapping up the series.

There were some stretches that I feel had to be made to correct for the previous two films not addressing things, not properly developing characters, and not moving the plot forward, but they aren’t too bad and you will get over it quickly.

The humor isn’t always great. There are some aspects that they did the best they could with the circumstances they had to make it work. There are some unanswered questions. There was some pandering to fans with references to the earlier films that some may love and some may hate.

But for me, it was satisfying and well worth the time invested into seeing it.

Kids will love it. If you don’t take it too seriously you will love it too.

Nothing to do with the mess he was handed
- Buff36

That "mess" included inheriting Jack Eichel. The single hardest piece for a GM to acquire.

Some food for thought - if arizona makes the playoffs, and it looks like they will - Botterill could be the only GM in the league to be on the job 3+ years without a playoff appearance

It’s the same 5 sentences on this website over and over

Beane and McDermott have made the playoffs 2/3 years without being handed a "Jack Eichel" when they took over.

The other GM has plenty of excuses though

130 points in his last 154 games, and half the people on this site want to run him out of town

you would think he is 34 instead of 24

- homiedclown

Well, I'll explain my post since once again they are misrepresented by those who depend on going to far extremes to make a point.

It's called making a hockey trade, in which one party needs to give value in order to receive value.
The object of a hockey trade is to upgrade a position of need. Often, one party may seek to gain a player at a more significant position, and with higher skill set. In this case, it us common to create a package of players, prospects and pucks to augment the value of just a single asset.

Sabres desperately need a 2C and simply cannot wait, nor myst they count on an 18 year old junior player to develop into a suitable player at such a critical position. It has failed most recently for the Sabres twice when trying to force a young, undeveloped player into a top 6 role.

So, to satisfy the position of desperate need at 2C, it is likely necessary to trade away an asset the team would prefer to retain. Good teams are able to properly discern this and have a plan in place to adequately replace the departing player(s).

Upgrading the currently vacant 2C position serves to also upgrade the performance of the 2LW and the 2RW positions by having a talented player help improve the results of those on his line. We have seen this with Jack's impact on Olofsson and on Reinhart himself.
It is infact the very smartest move to make, assuming the acquired player is of suitable skill.

It us the furthest thing from "running him out of town" as it infact says Reinhart is likely one of very few players other GM's would want back...so it is a compliment to him actually.

Makes me laugh, people want Botterill to make a deal for another scoring forward because we need more help up front, but yet want him to trade Reinhart. F ING laughable.
- SABRES 89

Wasn't it you who said "you don't get it, nobody wants the Sabres trash", and scoff at other trades suggested as not having enough value in Sabres player going out?
Yes, yes it is.
How do you reconcile acquiring a player if high skill...by throwing them trash?
