And Skinner should score at an insanely high rate according to his short career of 9 years...just because.
- IonSabres

No, but 1 out of every 7 games would be nice

But what’d it take... I’m horrible with value. I’d put the first in play if he resigns....

Eichel day to day.

Practicing, been dealing with an ailment (wouldn't say what it was) and non-committal for tomorrow's game

It was a tough game last night, but not the end of the world. Sure it looked bad without Jack, but we also loss a game in November 6-1 which Jack played and was a -3 with no points (and Ullmark started). This is the 3rd time this year Philly won a game 6-1, but they also loss a game 7-1 earlier this season. It didn't help losing Larsson after only 7 shifts either. Our defense took 5 penalties in the 2nd period alone (and 3 for 6 PK didn't help). Not one player started more than 50% of the time in the Ozone. Philly didn't have a single skater start in the Ozone less than 50%. Of course the team is 100x better with Jack, but lopsided wins and losses happen to every team throughout the league regardless of who's playing. There is a trade freeze, but don't think the GMs aren't still trying to find deals. Hopefully the depth that Botts did bring in will help with some of the injuries that arise. Having a call up like Lazar is definitely better than what we've had in the past.

I can't resist, sorry.

He's on holiday break now like the minimum wage folks, probably at Fitz's bar, heavily into the peppermint schnapps with a touch of chocolate vodka...Happy Holi-daze!!!

I think the right trade (which would involve some risk so Botterill will never do it) would be able to address multiple issues at once.

Not toughness but whatever.

- Sabresfan-365

And what would that right trade be, out of curiosity? Serious question as I have no idea. I'm guessing moving Montour plus Mittelstadt is your idea?

In your preference group there is a lot of crap there except Risto, and Montour, not sure what the value of the prospects are right now. Teams this devoid of talent should shy away from trading firsts and prospects anyway except in a package for another good young player.

I stand by Reinhart and a another piece (D) for a top forward upgrade. You have to give to get in a true hockey trade.

- GilPerreault11

I'm ok with that too, but it has to be a solid 2C with leadership and playoff experience.
Then go get another RW using picks, prospects and Dmen...some one with a bit of truculence.
The next time someone talks to Dahlin or Jack, straighten it out with pugilistic violence not seen before.

Reinhart for a Center and then go get Tuch from Vegas.

I can be talked into keeping Montour at the right $/yrs

It may not even take moving mittelstadt. He, Mojo and Vesey are so bad on that 2nd line, that a waiver claim and minor trade for two average ass players may be enough to keep this team in it till game 82.

If they want to aim high Toffoli is an option. JGP is an option too.

This Tom Coughlin story is insane.

I’ve never heard of a players union strictly say “Don’t sign with X team”

It really is, he's always been a known pr¡ck; what could he have possibly done to make it that much worse?

Here's some 2C targets, a variety...

Set-up Centers:
Chris Tierney, Senators...25, RFA, 2 way player, great on the dot.
Ryan Strome, Rangers...26, RFA, meh on the dot, good wheels
Ryan Johanson...The Clown's guy, expensive at $8m for 6 years when he us 27 now
Andreas Athanasiou, Green Jacket candidate, 25, RFA, not great on the dot
Dylin Larkin, 23, ideal candidate...this IS the guy here.
Vincent Trocheck, 26, nice player, relatively low productivity comparitively this season...buy low(er)?

Elder Statesmen:
Ryan Getzlaf, 34, would be friggin perfect here,1 more season left at $8.2m
Adam Henrik, 29, 5 more seasons at $5.8 per, good on the dot
Eric Staal, 35, 1 more season, would be perfect though

That's all I'm interested in researching for now, 9 quality targets.
Botts, as a determined GM has to have a shooting percentage higher than 11%, right?
No more excuses Jason, get it done...after the Christmas Schnapps wears off
