I'm going to hold my take on it until others have had a chance to see it. There were a lot of things I liked and a lot of things I didn't like. I will say this. If you liked The Last Jedi, and bought into the political "agenda" it may or may not have portrayed, you definitely won't like this one.

His roster is a complete embarrassment. He was exposed as an absolutely poop GM last night. His team minus the elite player is utter crap

But also, the lack of scoring is an absolute indictment on him throughout the entirety of the past 2 seasons. You, Jason, have collected a bunch of forwards, and most of them are useless. Actually almost literally useless.

He's asking to much for Bogo and there a couple other teams with to many D men also, Skinner won't go public, he's not like that but he needs help. People can say what they want about him but, he can't do it all. Sobotka, Erod, Sheary, have no business near or playing with Skinner. EROD is getting 2 mill a year, let that sink in, the Sens who people wrote off have 31 points, Sabres have 38. We are a 1 man team, that was shown last night. Losing without Eichel 3-2 or 4-3 is one thing but that was ridiculous.

Seems like Jason has a penchant for overvaluing his assets, at the expense of improving his club overall.
IMO, this seems to be more of the issue rather than no trade partners at all.
Coyotes and NJD hammered out a relatively complex deal for a league MVP in relative short order.

Just like some who want Skinner to magically score at a career high rate while having his time reduced by 25%, and play those reduced minutes with 4th line talent...well, fvck, I want Jason to make a solid A move, now...NO EXCUSES.

Many movie critics today are very left-leaning, and I don't mean that to start a political discussion. The Last Jedi was perceived as a very "progressive" plot, which took to their liking. The problem is that The Last Jedi also pissed off the more "traditional" Star Wars fanbase, the ones that really delved deep into not only the movies, but the TV shows and the books as well (Clone Wars, Star Wars Rebels, Shadows of the Empire, etc.). This caused the TV Critic community to bash the fanbase as "toxic, misogynistic, man-babies", etc. It started a whole "SJW" vs. "Real Star Wars fans" flame war. JJ Abrams notably took steps to appease the fanbase in the Rise of Skywalker, which really pissed the TV critic community off.

There's a whole Youtube rabbit hole about this you can do down, and I found it more entertaining than the movie itself.

I'm confused, did Jack miss the game last night because:

Like I said above, if you read the critics, who absolutely loved The Last Jedi, and hated the fact that the more traditional Star Wars fanbase hated it, they weren't pleased that The Rise of Skywalker took a numerous amount of steps to appease that fanbase. That's the crux of their dislike of the movie.

She was definitely an after-thought in the movie, no doubt about it, and I didn't even notice or care. There is a good chunk of people out there, on both sides of the aisle, that believe that JJ Abrams basically wrote The Rise of Skywalker in a way to pretend that The Last Jedi never happened.

Like I said, I don't want to spoil anything, but I will say that I liked it better than the critics did, but not as much as homie did.

The best 6 forwards this year are all from the GMTM and Darcy regimes. The top pair and the only reasonable goalie is from the Darcy regime. It's incredible how poopty his forwards are. I mean it's really almost impressively poopty

One other thing is, if you watch The Mandalorian, you should watch Chapter 7 before you see The Rise of Skywalker. They definitely tee something up in that episode that comes into play in the movie. It's not absolutely necessary, but you will know exactly what I am referring to if you do it.

If i never see Hutton start another game will be perfect for me.

I’m glad to hear that although I’ve never put much faith in critics. They seem to want to make a career on bad reviews. Sensationalism sells better then saying it was great

This Sabres board, save for a handful of posters, has become utterly embarrassing and just peppered with aggressive, classless posts that "fans" use as an attempt to prove how "smart" they are.

The "Star Wars nerds" are obsessed with "canon". It's not that they don't like anything but the first 3. It's that the they don't think the other movies fit in with the other material. I've never watched anything but the movies, and never read any of the other material, so I have no idea.
