Assessing the situation sounds more than just a little illness to me.

It's going to be interesting to read the reactions of the common folk and not the professional critics. Don't want to spoil anything but I probably will end up seeing it again.

If anyone writes a book about the 2011-2020 Sabres that needs to be the title

Ralph Krueger was very strange on Jack Eichel: “It was something that evolved in warm-ups, so we‘ll just look at the situation and get back to you tomorrow on that. ... Let’s not speak about the specifics right now. We’ll fill you in once we’ve assessed the situation.”

On the whole gmtm franking up the pipe line... just take one trade... the McNabb for d-lo, fasching and two 2nds.... those seconds in 2014 and 2015 could have been Point and Cernek .... just keep those picks and make a couple decent selections and it’s a game changer on the depth of the roster.

Gmtm played fast and loose. Botts plays to patient.

Would be interesting what a seasoned, guiding voice of the team would help with the inexperience of the young gm.... the team needs a structure with a president of hockey operations that is not mrs. “Still Learning” Pegula... until that point, nothing will change... botts might get there, but he could potentially use Eichel up by the time he does... patients is one thing, sitting on 12 d men when there has been a glaring hole or 2 in the forward ranks is another...

Ownership is the problem. Pegula hired a brain damaged GM. Pegula wants to be part of the decision making process when he is borderline retarded. Before this brain damaged GM he hired a narcissistic psychopath as GM who took a great set up for a rebuild and traded it away for players who didn’t want to be here years before our top picks were ready to compete.

We are now, and have been since Pegula bought the franchise, run by morons.

Patience

And going by experts like Dreger & Friedman,
Botts hasn’t been “sitting” on 12 dmen
He’s actually been “trying hard” to make trades for months

You guys can keep screaming “do something Botts” but that isn’t gonna make another GM give him a good enough offer that’s worth accepting

Not having great public speaking skills equates to "borderline retarded" now? Are we talking about the same guy that has an engineering degree and has made multiple billions of dollars on his own?

This Sabres board, save for a handful of posters, has become utterly embarrassing and just peppered with aggressive, classless posts that "fans" use as an attempt to prove how "smart" they are.

Yeah, that is odd. Hope it's not a dizziness/vertigo sort of thing. That would suuuuuuck. If it was 'just' a flu, why not just say that ? The way he put it, it sounds scary.

I'm sorry but no. You perceive it that way.

I'm here casually trolling and having fun and aside from 2 or 3 smarks, you're taking some of us way too seriously dude.

I'm done with the "context is lost on the internet" excuse. Reading comprehension is something you learn in the 5th grade.

If you're on here reading posts thinking what you just posted, you're the one with an intellectual inferiority complex. Literally no one comes to a Sabres message board to try and sound "smart" seriously. Except Hard Hat and Fitz and Pegulaville, like I said.

The Athletic wrote this with for guys like Jason.

https://theathletic.com/1...d-a-very-kings-christmas/

Q: So it’s the draft weekend, the only other time of the year that NHL GMs are legally allowed to make trades?
A: No. It’s mid-December. Despite what you may have heard, GMs are actually allowed to make trades at this time of year too. It’s an obscure and rarely used loophole in the rules, but it’s true.

Q: Does this mean that the NHL has canceled the salary cap, which as we all know makes trading too hard?
A: No. Two GMs just worked together to figure out a way to make a trade work under the cap. In this case, they used salary retention, a rule that has been in place since 2013 and made it possible for a team that is virtually out of projected space to acquire a former MVP without running into cap problems.
