I mean structurally the Islanders haven’t been bad. The goals really weren’t off turnovers or odd man rushes. Just seems like every other (frank)ing shot has gone in the net.

Meh there were a couple turnovers and bad clearing attempts that lead to goals. Whether they were deflections or not doesn’t really mean anything imo save for the goalies. If bailey played an ounce of defense on the first goal it never happens. If toews clears the puck off the boards instead of center ice gently the third goal doesn’t happen. Mayfield on the second. Etc. They played a good period and a quarter then took their foot off the gas imo. There were some lapses and the preds made them pay. Like you said hopefully it wakes them up.
