Cirelli is the truth
- gerbe75pts

Yeah, but how long before we're whining about him?

He's good, but he's no savior.

You overpay to get him and then what?

Very true 39, there were a few teams that were playing pretty poopty, Wild- Flames-Predators that might have been good trade partners, but they have all picked up there games. So I think Botts waited to long, but just my opinion.

Teams have much more patience than we give them credit for. They typically don't start selling off until the season is sunk or they're the bruins in last place for two months

cirelli is the real deal for complete complementary player

they have bumped him up and rewarded him with more ice time, and a little more pp time

he does a lot of the little things right, under rated penalty killer

picture a young mike peca on the wing

I would move pretty much any prospects other then cozens or 6k for him

- homiedclown

Would you move Alex Mogilny for him?

Really, I like skinner too.

How can you defend his play recently? Falling down, diving, losing confidence of the coaches.

Either Botts overplayed his hand during the summer, or people just didn't want are trash at the time.

His body language says it all. Which is probably why he's getting 13 minutes.

Then why the constant- Do something jbotts?

You actually understand hockey? Maybe jbotts wants to see where we are at the deadline?

Seems Botterill like?

Look, Skinner needs to score. I get it, you get it, we all get it. He also needs competent line mates to be fully effective. Botterill needs to do his (frank)ing job too.

apples and oranges

we moved moglinly for a first round pick, peca and a player that was drafted in the first round 2 years before the trade

tampa is not in position to add salary, so they could not move cirelli and 2 first round picks for an ovi type player

You're another gm.

Would you want our trash?

He's going to have to trade someone he may not want to, if he seriously wants to add young, NHL-ready talent to this team.

If I'm Tampa, and if he's really "the truth", then I'm not moving him.

There are other pieces that other teams might want. Even if you're selling low.

It's not hard to believe that obsolete five million dollar players are unable to be moved. But I also think, for the second year in a row either botterill thought CM would be ready, or he didn't give a poop that he'd be ready and expected is to be competitive but just average. He knew what the team was last year yet didn't give a poop about improving it in season. Now he rolls in with incredibly modest forward changes and expects different? I don't know if he's that dumb or simply that patient.

Botts is doing his job.
He's boosting rochester
Hes acquired some top talent and resigned (skinner)
He hired a great out of the box coach

Maybe we are waiting until our generational defenseman is more primed to succeed. Dahlin is a mess on defense.

Botts draft picks haven't had a chance to develop. I imagine he foresees some of these guys as future Sabres?

I'm waiting until the deadline. Were 30+ games into a new system- again

IMO they could get a lot higher end D Depth than what we can provide.

He did this last year with a worse team. This team is better, but still has incredibly obvious holes. That he either refused or is unable to fill.

Good post

Other teams do not want the same players that we don't want.

We have picks to trade, why not wait until were closer to making a true run? Then you mortgage the future.

Exactly, to continue to argue about his bad play and make up really bizarre excuses?
