It's a real mess, but the solution is on the current roster. Gotta keep their head above water for a playoff race, but I'm not sure they can. Guys like g and jake have to start to come through

It’s more of a mess than it should be. If the forwards, making the big bucks, we’re performing like they should you would think they could patch together a couple other lines that could play enough defensively responsible minutes to get by. Some combination of G, Jake, Coots, JVR, Hayes, Farabee/Frost should be able to form two good lines and they should be able to put together atleast one good PP line. The guys making the big salaries need to start putting the puck in the net.

out of curiosity, how do the underlying numbers look for the guys who you do have available? are any of them positioned to breakout or is the situation there bad?

either way, i don’t think the situation is hopeless. not everyone who’s out is out longterm, right? you’ve got a three point cushion sitting in the final wildcard spot, with one or more games at hand on several of those teams nipping at your heels.

i don’t think the rangers are a playoff team; the leafs are kind of a poopshow- way too up and down, though it would be surprising if they didn’t make it to the postseason and then brutally lose in the first round. montreal blows. as long as the orange & black can weather the storm a little bit you’ll be all good.

Goalies gotta keep us in games and steal a win here and there. Frost and Farabee need to turn it up. G and V...who the neck knows?

From past experience, I don’t have a lot of confidence in Giroux, JVR, Voracek coming up big when needed most.

Lindblom is out for the year. Raffl has a broken pinkie finger. Shouldn’t be much longer. The rest of the guys are a mystery. Konecny and Pitlick have concussions. Could be a few days could be a few months. Laughton has a groin injury. Patrick has been out since preseason with migraine issues. They’re up against the cap and don’t have much more options in the AHL. I’d say they are in trouble the way things look right now.

There is no one left to call up. Really...just ride it out eventually we get healthy. This is where Fletcher earns his paycheck. He needs to find a trade that works. We have an abundance of young talent on defense, gotta maximize on that capital

Being critical is one thing but being critical to be a Richard and the sky is falling and the world is gonna burn is ridiculous.
The flyers aren’t perfect nor are they a great team.
They also aren’t a laughing stock as some here alude to.
How can Fletcher know what’s going to transpire during the season injury wise?
Did he leave himself room to maneuver? No, so being critical of Fletch for that is understandable.
They have already called up their best prospects so now they have to use the b level guys.
The goal tending hasn’t been the problem it’s been scoring including a bad power play.
They are a better team than last year for sure but now we have what 5-6 rookies in the lineup tonight. Half your forward are just about all rookies.

Except you gotta give to get. Flyers have little to give at this point that isnt part of their future. There a guy on Waivers we can grab for free but at the same time we are down Konecny and Lindblom. To get guys to fill those skates is going to cost a decent amount
