Andersen the fourth fastest in NHL history to 200 wins.
Reimer and 2 2nds. - Zezel
Carolina’s goalies should look good, already this season faced 160 shots less then TO’s
Andersen/Hutch for both their goalies and a 7th.

I wouldn’t trade Kap, that’s just me. - Garnie
I wouldn’t just trade Kap either.
I’m saying if there is an opportunity to grab a D with Kap as a main piece I’d do it.
I wouldn’t just trade him to the highest bidder just because he’s behind 2 RWs. That would be silly. |

Go for a big D and trade Willie
He’ll get you more and clear more space.
Or just keep the team as is and see how we look over the next 20 |

We don’t know that.
Willy is an important piece here. If there is an equally as young D, talented and the same contract comes along then maybe? But there aren’t many out there that I see happening.
Kappy is less important but still valuable. Probably a lot more options to choose from to improve an area of weakness. The GMs have to see player X fitting into the system as well. |

Kreider + Georgiev for Johnsson + Bracco (or A Marlie player not named Sandin) + conditional 1st 2022 ( top 10 protected), second 2022 if Kreider does resign with the Leafs
==> I like Kreider but his stats are close to Johnsson and Johnsson is cheaper
Ellis for Nylander

Hyman Tavares Marner
Kreider Matthews Kapanen
Engvall Kerfoot Mikheyev
Timashov / Moore Spezza Goat
Rielly Barrie
Muzzin Ellis
Dermott Holl
Andersen
Georgiev
Ceci will need to be moved for a pick |

If this ever happens it’s a one for one.
I really don’t see a D good enough that another team would be WILLING to swap.
We ain’t trading willy for a 30 year old D with 2 years left on his contract. I don’t care if said player is a top pairing RHD. |

With Lilljegren/Sandin coming in and Holl's development, I think the mysterious "Top 4 D" for Willy is much less needed, |

Matthews under babcock this year: 19:48
Under keefe: 19:44
Herpa derp.
If babcock played hyman more than matthews you'd be throwing a hissy fit. Nothing like being consistent! - Tumbleweed
Prior to last night, his TOI under Keefe was higher. He also has played his 3 highest career amounts already under Keefe. |

I think they could still add one but one that’s 24/25 that is still controlled as an RFA. Someone they don’t need to 100% commit to big money if Petro hits the open market.
Sanhiem. A player like him...

I would think that game situations, not line matching has something to do with ice time. For example, when Leafs are beating the snot out of St. Louis and the Blues are trying to goon it up, makes sense to throw out the 3rd and 4th lines a little more.

Matthews said he doesn’t want Kap on his line
No to adding a 1st in the Rangers proposal
Ellis contract is 28-36 (aka downward slide) |

It is amusing actually, but not nearly as funny as some of the recent trade proposals on the Nucks site. Gallagher is the new Nylander and some genius is offering Sven Baertschi, Brandon Sutter and a 7th. Reminds me of the Tanev trade proposals.

I love how they have to actually write no one cares about the Leafs, because of course if you did not care, Leafs would not be mentioned.
Do they not realize how pathetic that looks? |

Finished watching the game on the PVR, hungover as (frank), so here's Gravy's Hot Takes:
- Holl is a revelation this year and by far our most consistent Dman on this team, with Dermott and Muzzin a close second.
- Ceci makes Marincin look like Datsyuk with the puck. Wow.
- Andersen's gotta be in the best goalie in the league conversation this year, if only for consistency and cranking out wins.
- Hughsuck and Simpleton had a hard time saying anything nice as per usual, but they did like Holl's game.
- Matthews and Nylander have been poop lately, Matthews in particular. Playing sheltered minutes for the most part against a one-line team in EDM? They should've demolished the comp.

So glad Holl was finally given the chance instead of being moved out of town. |
