A single subjective vote. Stop with this nonsense. You know as well as I do that playing this style isn't working. It doesn't draw penalties and as the original poster said it causes giveaways a perimeter play.

Kadri drew penalties because he went to the dirty areas. It's obvious what the problem with this team is.

thousands of voters....

You tried to state Crosby was some 200 foot player as a 20 year old. No one thought this, and I am providing you as much evidence as I can.

He was an unreal offensive threat, one that 7 years later developed a fantastic 200 foot game.

Matthews is 22 and in not even halfway through the first year of his first contract...settle down and give him a (frank)ing chance.

stop comparing him to 27 year old players.

Here are conditions on the one pick: stands as a third; if Hall re-signs OR Coyotes win a round, becomes a second; if BOTH happen, becomes a first.

- Steven_Seagull

These conditions are become more insane as time goes on.

Devils fans hate the deal. I feel like all fans hate the deal when trading away the superstar. Well more often then not.

The parts we never know is how likely the other offers could or would have been. If you've got poop for offers then what do you expect?

It helps out both teams so they don't screw over each other.

Most GMs have learned not to try and screw over other teams in trades, a trade should be benefiting both teams.

Crosby went to the dirty areas. He got his teeth knocked out, he took elbows to the face. He went to the net. Matthews is soft. That was and is the problem with him. But again, too many perimeter players on the Leafs.

Merkley is a young forward that will get playing time with Devils. Schnarr is a good prospect, Bahl is a pretty good prospect, guaranteed 1st, guaranteed 3rd that has a chance to become a 2nd or a 1st.

Sounds about right.

I just don't find finding conditions to not (frank) over a team weird.

If you do, no problem. I just don't.

the concept laid out here - but you're too ignorant to understand apparently - is that by playing in a physical way, you'll get to the finals.
while playing soft translates into three consecutive first rounds exits.

ok Max

I have no problems how Matthews played last playoffs, he was great.

Philly cheese soft Kessel's play helped the Pens win two cups.

I sort of agree with them. It feels like a crop of B prospects. Maybe Bahl is the best of the bunch. Bahl is big guy, and is on the world juniors, so he's a definite prospect. Merkley feels more like a missed opportunity, but I guess maybe a bottom 6 guy.

I don't know too much about Schnarr - I mean he was good for Guelph as an overager, but he never really looked dominant. He's been ok in the A. Adam might know more about these prospects.

If it's a 1st this year, you're probably drafting 21st - 31st. I doubt Hall stays in Arizona, so it maybe becomes a 2nd at best.

Some of you are the types to watch the Leafs go to game 7 triple OT in the cup finals and lose, and say the reason they lost was because they were too soft.

If Hall isnt resigning then what did you expect for a pure rental who's having a down year?

Sure the first will likely be in the bottom of the first round but it's a first round pick. More kicks at the can.
