Long season to go.

But the plan to play andersen 75 games does seem flawless.

The Leafs are trying to make a trade, I believe Johnsson would have been the easiest to deal - his injury killed any potential deal. Leafs don't want to move Liljegren, Sandin or Kapanen in any deal to get a backup. I'm sure they would move Bracco but it can't be for crap. Hutch will proabably get a start this coming week aginst the Wings. Leafs managed a pretty good road trip. Good times are coming.

I'll admit it if i was wrong.

But playing mattews and nylander 14 minutes and hyman +20 seems like the key to success.

Keefe just might be a genius.

Get Mathews 2 actual wingers, not one that cares more about his hair and one that is on his off wing.

The only options Mathews has is cycle the puck or shoot, he passes to either of his 2 wingers and boom...turnover and I don't mean apples.

It was interesting how Keefe outcoached Tippett. Oilers were trying to avoid playing McDavid's line against Tavares line and ended up giving McDavid less ice time than some of the grunts. As you correctly pointed out, Matthews' line did not merit more ice time, Kerfoot and Mikheyev did.

The Oilers lack of depth showing up. If McD & D don't beat you, they lose.

I thought that was Andersen’s fault?

The guy who has dragged us there...imagine if the Leafs still had Reimer or Talbot or some other “just ok” goalie.

Our team would have a couple more high 1st round picks.

I thought Kapanen was the reason that line had trouble last night. It seemed every time they had something going it died on his stick.
Even with the reduced minutes Matthews had 5 shots and a crossbar.

You're using a 1 game sample size. hat about all the other here Matthews/Nylander ere playing more than ever?
- RogerRoeper

Matthews under babcock this year: 19:48

Under keefe: 19:44

Herpa derp.

If babcock played hyman more than matthews you'd be throwing a hissy fit. Nothing like being consistent!

Kap is great, not sure he meshes well.

That line didn’t hurt us, so at least they can keep trying if needed.

I don't think Kappy can play down the left side. Didn't look good with Tavares earlier in the year either. Played fine with Matthews last year while Willy sat out.

Kap can’t play LW.

He’s not bumping Nylander and Marner...so if he really is held highly by opposing GMs I’d look into it.

Engval-Kerfoot-Mikheyev might be a nice 3rd line. Moore can replace if there is an injury.

I was surprised when I saw their minutes. They were very good defensively by my eye.

I wasn’t paying close attention last night, people talking and power going off ( (frank) )
Etc etc

I thought we looked pretty good, was surprised at the amount of shots for EDM.

Other than the kerfoot line getting hemmed in a few times I thought we played really good. Andersen had his A game too
