I don’t think it was a coincidence that he waited till June to extend him. I am a Botts fan but that doesn’t not mean I necessarily agree with everything he does.

Getting a 25-30 goal winger for a 2nd round pick is fantastic asset management. If he lets Jeff walk and uses that $9M to sign an average 3rd line our “team” would be better however.

Skinner has no impact on any of our special teams units and doesn’t impact the Olofsson-Eichel-Reinhart line so what needles does he move as a player making “elite” money ?

Maybe they should of used his cap hit to acquire or sign the Center that would boost his production.

Call me crazy but that’s just the cold hard truth that nobody here wants to except, at least for now.

Sounds like incredibly idiotic asset management from JB. Sure he got him on the cheap, but that season was a bust and his acquisition probably negatively affected the Sable draft slot. We had to sign skinner, for season ticket holders ect.
It wasnt just about the on ice production, still isn't.

Ralph’s system has been a ridiculously positive game changer for a few players: Risto, larsson, girgs, oloffson, eichel, scandella, Okposo but obviously hasn’t worked for Erod.

Pretty good actually. Drew Lock threw for 300 in his road debut and we demolished the Texans the week after they smacked Brady.
