I could get behind something like this. Probably our best shot at an elite return taking on a contract like Hossa. - Devilish4
Also, apparently Hossa's cap hit is a hair under 6mil but he get's paid less than 2 for the remaining years. So we can eat half of Halls cap hit plus take on Hossa which gives Arizona a lot of flexibility. This would probably get us a pretty good return. |

I would be interested in next years first. It could be a real nice wild card for us on top of whatever picks this year and prospects.
Before we traded for Subban Soderstrom was someone I was interestes in with that 34th pick or whatever it was. |

They're saying Coyotes are probably the landing spot and we're going to eat Hossa's contract and get more back in return. Not sure what young Coyotes guys are the get though. - Pomegrant
If we are sending them a top line LW and eating a contract I would hope Soderstrom is involved. |

We put some guy on unconditional waivers today to open up a contract slot, so I think we'll be getting more back. Because Arizona would need to trade us a roster player that they can't waive to fit Hall and Hossa. So depends on the quality of this roster player, and whatever the prospect/pick return is. It might be a good haul overall. |

Soderstrom went 11th overall lol and was ranked in the top 15 on most boards/rankings. No chance we couldve gotten him at 34 |

You cant say never and I could be wrong but they reached a little at 11 did they not ?
I remember having interest in him and that kid who the Ducks took Brayden Tracey.
I could of been hoping he fell |

He hasn't been great this year, but he's locked down for 5 more years after this season. They put a lot of money on him early in his career, but he's 21 and room for growth still there. I don't think they're in a position to move him seeing they don't have incredible defensive depth. |

Someone in the sabres thread is reporting he is hearing Allen and Thomas for Hall and Domingue lol
Not sure Im a fan of those players but could just be my opinion of those two. |

No it wasnt a reach at all, Oilers taking Broberg at 8 was a bit of a reach. Soderstrom went right around where he was generally ranked. He wasnt dropping outside of the top 15 or 20, let alone falling all the way into the 2nd round |

He is so injury prone. I'd stay clear.

Jake Allen is good but he's 29 at this point and just one year left on his contract. I've heard people say this Robert Thomas guy is going to be good but I'm not really sold. |

Thats how I feel.
Thomas just doesnt seem like enough and Allen has had some bad years inbetween this one.
It just doesnt seem appealing even with a first. |

He's had injury problems and lost the starting job to Binnington. After the Schneider ordeal I don't think we can take a gamble on a goalie that isn't a sure thing. |

Cory was a sure thing and played very very well for us..he just got hurt and never recovered.
I would like HALL to go out west.
Not to the east. ILES , Buffalo , not happening ....
Let him go to ARIZONA ..they might still have a good draft pick..
a#1 pick.....

As long as Hall doesn't go to NYR or Philly I don't give a poop where he goes as long as we get the best return. Doesn't make sense to worry about playing him in the playoffs until we actually start making the playoffs. |

I’d add Pitt to the list of places I’d hate to see him go. |

What about Miro Heiskanen from Dallas and a 2nd for Hall. Devils upgrade their putrid defense with a young defensemen. It would allow them to remove Vatanen from the Power play. |

Take away the second from Dallas and add another significant piece from NJ and it’s still probably a No from Dallas. |
