With OL out for the forseeable future you think that puts PHI in the Hall race?

NJ would obviously retain cap unless cap goes the other way

I hope not.

I rather go for a Hall and Oates tune, to replace flyers goal song.

So Sanhiem or Ghost, York and a 1st is what NJ is probably going to look for in that scenario just as a starting point. Plus whatever it takes to make it work cap wise.

I just can't see us taking on a big ticket player without sending one the other way and I don't think NJ wants JVR or Voracek.

Theres no way thats the price. Look at all the previous big deals

Blues trade Paul Stastny to Jets for Erik Foley, a 2018 conditional first-round pick (traded to Maple Leafs; became Rasmus Sandin) and a 2020 conditional fourth-round pick

Sabres trade Evander Kane to Sharks for a 2019 conditional first-round pick, Danny O’Regan and a 2019 conditional fourth-round pick

Sabres trade Ryan O’Reilly to Blues for Vladimir Sobotka, Patrik Berglund, Tage Thompson, a 2019 first-round pick and a 2021 second-round pick

Canadiens trade Max Pacioretty to Golden Knights for Tomas Tatar, Nick Suzuki and a 2019 second-round pick

Senators trade Erik Karlsson and Francis Perron to Sharks for Josh Norris, Chris Tierney, Rudolfs Balcers, Dylan DeMelo, a 2019 second-round pick, a 2019 or 2020 conditional first-round pick, a 2021 conditional first- or second-round pick and a 2022 conditional first-round pick

Hurricanes trade Jeff Skinner to Sabres for Cliff Pu, a 2019 second-round pick, a 2020 third-round pick and a 2020 sixth-round pick

Caught early there is a high success rate. Being a pro and having the exams they do due to the sport I Hope that’s the case for him.

None of these guys were traded to major division rivals and none of them were a year removed from winning the Hart trophy. The cost for a division rival to acquire Taylor Hall will be substantial imo.

Hall will be asking for 9 mil a year. Meanwhile he isn’t earning anywhere near the 6 mil that he is being paid this year. I’ll pass.

Hope Lindblom gets better soon and is in the 80%...

"If it hasn’t spread beyond the site of origin, the cure rates are near 80 percent."

The bad luck of the Flyers organization - not to diminish in any way the hardship of the individual players - is really quite amazing.

Time for the big contracts on the Flyers to step up and start earning their duckets.

Time for the big cap anchors on the Flyers to step up and start producing. Darn I wish we had LOU to bury them on a island. A healthy Hall could potentially produce 100 points.

I was just thinking on Thursday why we never have a late round hit who ends up being a key contributor for us. Then I thought - ok, there's Oskar, who is opening some eyes. I was skeptical last year but this year - I was particularly impressed by the fact that he does not really have any huge talent, and yet always seems to be at the right place at the right time, including defensively.

Yesterday was St. Lucia's day in Sweden. Instead it turned out to be Friday the 13th for the kid.

I just hope the fact that it was found later in his life than typical does not mean that it is because it was caught late rather than occurred late.
