Welcome to Calgary Taylor! - zipfel
Where have you been all the time?
We must disappoint the guys above, but Hall is not a too good backup goalie and wants to win a cup, therefore Leafs (and Philly!) are unlikely. |

Not sure what the Devils would see in this offer. |

I'm a little puzzled why the Devils are shopping him. Surely the fans don't want him to go, unless the return on the deal is superb. So, what's the driving force behind this? Is it Hall himself? Is it cap issues (not familiar with the Devils cap situation), or....?

Hall was just recently critical of the fan base for booing the team. Also, I would assume it’s a foregone conclusion he’s not resigning. |

Devils cap situation is fine for now. His contract is up at the end of the year and the Devils are showing they are nowhere near ready to compete so there’s no way he signs an extension. Devils can’t lose him for nothing so he’s gone. I just hope we can get a good defense prospect for him. |

Whether a team is in a rebuild or they are in compete mode, Hall is a player you would want on your roster. Unless his contract demands are completely unreasonable, I wouldn't be in a hurry to trade him.
Getting boo'ed by the home crowd is never a good thing and most fans aren't just being Richards when they do it. Sometimes a little tough-love is needed. A player just has to let it roll off their back and focus on winning games.
Well, the Devils got a steal on Hall to start with, so it will be interesting to see what he fetches this time around.

We have the cap and ownership to get it done. Seems to be all down to Hall and his agent.
He says he just wants to play on the best team he can to compete for a cup but we will see if thats true when he inks his new deal with whoever. |

Hall is going to the Leafs if he can convince the Devils to retain 98% of his salary. |

He's going to Philly for Voracek and Gostisbehere. |

So a guy who isnt a good skater and is going to start declining on a big deal and a guy no one in philly wants.
Pretty much two pieces that are exactly what they are and dont really help a rebuild in comparision to a defense man who plays top four and is good at defense or prospects and picks which rebuilding teams covet. |

I am serious. The Flyers would be trading two turnover machines that don't play defense for a guy who doesn't play defense but had 93 points two seasons ago (I don't care if he doesn't play defense) ...on a BAD team. |
