How were LAs deals reasonable? And what will happen with those RFAs who signed 2-3 year deals in a couple of years? Suely you don't think Laine is going to sign that deal again?

But the leafs would have been better off signing the 3 amigos for 2-3 years.

Take the 10m in savings and ice a real contender instead a team with an ahl 4th line and echl backup tending.

Instead, dufus took a team with fantastic talent and turned them into a team destined for mediocrity.

The sooner him and shanny are canned, the better.

We deserve better in truth. Remember being a Leafs fan a couple of years ago? Remember the upward trajectory? The cap space to do what we wish with? Fun times.

We can still make trades for sure. However, do you trust Dubas making those trades? We have 1 dman signed for next year. Expect 5 more "transition" dmen to be added to the roster. Wonder if we'll bother with a back up next season?

I don’t want Dubas fired though....don’t care about the GM/Coach...not even needed with all this talent. They should just let the players run the bench, they let them write their own contracts

I placed bets in Vegas on both the Sharks and Lightning before the season and when the Bruins swept the Canes, I was rooting so hard for the sharks. I was like, well, if we lose to them I’ll be pissed, but richer nonetheless

Shanny ditched Kessel and Phaneuf, and remember the Leafs did absolutely (frank) all on UFA day the first few years. Shanahan did a clear tear down and tank by design.

I get what you are saying... but I'd rather see them spend a little less on "floatie", inconsistent scorers and a bit more on those non-sexy kind of defenseman... then the ECHL level back-up wouldn't matter as much.

I absolutely disagree with firing Dubas and Shanahan. Make Dubas stay and fix up the "minor tuning" that has to be done. Dubas was quoted as saying "we'll draft talent and trade for what we need".... so ... its about time to stop talking about philosophy, approach, cool-aid and its various flavours...

and go trade some of the talent you have accumulated for some of those intangibles... for guys you hate... like Hyman....

I really hope Barrie completely turns around his season and has a great season from this point forward... including the time after the TDL when Dubas moves him for a more reliable stay at home guy.
