Untradeable asset that won’t be of interest until the deadline. Bench his useless ass and let him rot.

Except it's a d for d swap, so it's not adding more d men. Additionally, it's a style of dman we don't have and most importantly it frees up $4m in cap.
Can't really see any negative aspect of a deal like this. What do you think they could realistically get for an oft injured, overpriced dman who requested a trade? Botts should just trade him for a 2C straight up I guess.

- adambuffalo

We have too many d men. I mean really a d for d trade is silly. For cap relief to a team that despises spending money. Go find a pick or a forward.

I would bet that the rotation stays the same. Kreuger doesn't seem like one to change based off of anything other than who has to sit for performance.

"I believe we haven't seen the best Zach Bogosian and my job is to find the best Zach Bogosian for our team so we'll continue to do that," Krueger said. "And after 10 games for him to slip a bit after such a long break and to need some breathing time to take another step up, that opportunity is there.

"The players decide what their ice time and their roles are as a team. Not I. ... I think a player that hasn't gone through training camp needs to also be patient before he expects to play his 'A' game."

I like Coach Dracula
This reminds me of when in MR Deeds he says and if you play bad can we pay you less?

Bogo was always hurt, over-paid and played poorly most of the time during his tenure in Buffalo. But the one (apparent) saving grace for him is that he was supposed to be an outstanding and upstanding individual - both in the locker room and the community. All the Bogo "good' got shattered yesterday when he turned on his team and teammates.

He is now poison. Nobody wanted him before. Do you think anyone wants him now? Waive him and then loan him to another AHL team. Neither the Sabres nor the Amerks need that poison in the locker room.

- SabreWest

Question- if you are a healthy scratch, do you go to the locker room? Or just tend the nacho cart up near the owners box?

Also, do you think that Reinhardts feelings were hurt that jack called him his best friend? No more double bikes?

he won't get much for bogo...too much cap hit...wish he'd have just sucked it up
- Michael Pachla

He wants another contract for more than 1 year. Only way to get that is playing. Pretty selfish move for a team that has done a lot for him. Not by his choice of course but he has missed a lot of games. We should retain 1M max and get a 6th rounder. Plenty of teams would give him a shot.
What about Montreal Jordan Weal for Bogo.

HOw much Sweedish elite league do you watch to know one specific players scoring tendencies from eyars past?

Pretty easy to google the game logs and see he is anything but streaky. Any other questions?

He took a while to adapt to the NHL 5on5, but, right now he's easily one of our best 2 way players

They are using 3.4m of his LTIR relief, so they'd have to include (or we'd have to retain) that much to balance things out. Since we certainly don't want to use LTIR next year, it doesn't make sense for either side.

Was waiting for you to jump in on that before I (frank)ed up that explanation.

But yeah, don't take on poop we don't need.

It's an out of the box idea, always interesting to talk about. Doesn't really work out here.

Didn't realize ARZ was using the relief pool until I checked. Just assumed they were on an internal budget.

When he was in juniors, Prince Albert?, he was so dominant. His skating is still elite. Why someone couldn't teach him even a remotely decent defensive game with that speed is beyond me. Thought he was a sure hit.
