Completely agree.

I mean we wouldn't be trading anything for him. May as well try it if the price is right. I'm not looking for great ES production here this team has it. The PP needs help and he could help it.

Do you know where he plays on the PP? I think Kovy is a little far-fetched at this point.

He plays the left side wing/left side point area. Which we need for the PP

I think Kovi makes just sense if we also could unload something.

I would prefer -depending on price- Radulov, AA, Toffoli or someone in that neighborhood.

This all falls on if his contract is actually terminated and he actually would want to come here. Definitely would not trade for him just thinking maybe a free assest here. There's other guys I'd rather have but we're gonna have to trade for that.

Right, I believe and so does everyone else that Galch is gone. I would love Rad or Toffoli. We need a righty shot winger. Rust and Horny are the only regular righty wingers (Bjugs could be used at wing)

I think Kovalchuk would be a good pickup. Even though he skates slower, he plays a fast game. I would assume he wants to go to someone with a chance at a cup so I would assume he would listen if we offered him a deal. I think if we grabbed Kovalchuk then I would assume JR would almost immediately ship Galchenyuk out in a deal. I would assume Bjugstad may also get traded if Kovalchuk was brought in.

Yea this, his smarts and shot are still there, he thinks the game fast. I kinda compared it earlier to when Guerin was here, slow skater but his shot and smarts all fast. Maybe Geno can talk him into it😉

I believe Kovy plays both wings as well. Not sure lately would have to look it up. I know it was a long time ago but I think it was Kovy-Savard-Heatley when they played together. I also think when Hossa was there Kovy was the LW and Hoss the RW.

I think that's correct. He is primarily a righty LW. I don't see much of a fit. PP would be nice, but Sully would hate his defense and we have so many LWs as it is but are thin on RW. I think he would end up being another bottom six ~.5 PPG type player who is just a PP specialist and does nothing else at this stage of his career. No thanks.

Hahahah

Are the fights really that memorable?....I'm impartial to fighting...don't really care if it's there and if it's not it's not. Sometime you see a good tilt, and it's remembered, but most of the time it's clutching and grabbing then falling to the ice. Then considering how alot of these guys are extremely fd in the head later in life, I'm fine without not seeing 10 second waltzes on ice between two men...but will enjoy a scrap if its an actual good one. The good ones were always few and far between, no matter how many fighting majors there were in a season. Obviously even rarer these days.

In recent memory Johnson vs Dipietro and the whole brawl with the islanders. Johnson instantly became one of my fav goalies and I’ve never wanted someone’s head taken off more than Trevor gillies. female dog could take out and taunt Tangradi but wouldn’t square up with Godard. Although I despise the flyers/oilers Dave brown will always be my favourite. Engelland dropping what’s his bits from Toronto. Bertuzzi incident. Redwings vs avs brawls. Good fights and brawls are easily remembered.
