I don't know if Jake has the lateral ability to play the PK yet. His speed could make him a better threat than Schaller. Schaller just has more experience.

Mark Jankowski and his 1 point in 29 games could be a good buy low or swap option. Lead the league in PK points last season.

Blake Coleman from NJ would be a good get. Cost would be too high though. He's an annoying pest when he plays Vancouver.

I'm meh on Jankowski.

Coleman would be sweet, but I agree that thew cost would be too much. I've always liked him and Miles Wood from NJ.

Agree on Jankowski.

Is there an American hockey player you don't like?

Why does Brock get a pass on his mediocre play and still get 20 minutes a game?
All 3 guys on the 3rd line have outplayed him and deserve more than the 12-13 minutes they are getting, maybe coach Green should start giving those guys a shift or 2 each with Elias while Brock observes from the bench.

Brock appeared to play better in the leafs game? In his post-game interview after the leafs game he said he's working hard and trying to be better. Was he not good at all last night?

I fell asleep for the 3rd, but, the 1st 2 periods he was not very good at all, especially on PP.
His passing is bad, he is stationary most of the time, he appears like he is slower than Dana Murzyn ever was. He is where offense goes to die when on the powerplay.
I realize it is probably just a slump, but Brock hasn't been that good all season, other than maybe a handful of games, or when in 3 on 3 OT. Maybe just play Brock in the 4th period. Lol
Green has a bad tendency to overplay his top 4 forwards and defense. Needs better ice management. Imo

Waits for the, look at his point total crowd.

I like Fantenberg . He has been steady. Would you give him a Benn type extension for two years? Call it Edler insurance.

Ya they battle back to tie Minny at 4-4 then Smith with the two muffins which you are very familiar with lol

Funny how the Flames fans come out of hiding when their team wins a few and the Oil lose a few lol

Being a Canuck fan in Alberta it's funny to watch the parody between the two

Green doesn't appear to be adapting. He is getting out-coached alot it would appear.

Janko has played better since Peters was let go but I think being traded then not (frank)ed him up ...he would do well if he was traded

I agree. I know most here don't like the line-blender approach, but, it is called for in some situations, this is one of them.
Miller and Elias will get burnt out soon, carrying Brock on their backs.

Carolina is a well coached, structured team that also started their rebuild years before Van did.

They also won a draft lotto spot and got a very good player. Something that is likely to never ever happen to Vancouver.

CAn't believe i'm saying it but when is Edler back?

And can JB find Edler a suitable partner to allow him not to be so good and so bad in so many games.

He has played 4 nhl games and 2 ahl games this season, not sure that warrants a 2 year extension, should be a 3 year extension, because Benning.

He has played 93 NHL games 5 G 28 pts. Not bad for a bottom pair guy
