just as an fyi as well, the *depleted* flyers - missing their top two scorers - were “lucky” enough to draw an avalanche team playing at (basically) full health at forward position for the first time since early october.

avs lost rantanen and landeskog for 16 games a piece, they had kadri out for 3 in a row (and a couple scattered ones before that); at one point we went a stretch with BOTH goalies hurt at the same time- having to ice 2x AHLers. huge pieces have been in and out all year, last night Erik Johnson and rookie of the year Cale Makar were out. injuries have decimated a poop ton of teams this year, but i digress...

gotta say, after the first it looked like the game might get out of hand for the flyguys, but i was super impressed with how badly you guys took it to us for basically the entire 2nd period. avs were lucky af they didn’t score to make it 1-1. this was the first time i’ve seen the flyers in action this season and they impressed. hope you crush minny and winnipeg! best of luck going forward— hope you guys get healthy soon!

Avs have been put through the meat grinder this year. Didn’t MacKinnon miss some games? This is a top 3 team in the league

Missing Patrick, Koneckny, Lindblom, Raffl, And Myers. On the road against the team that took over the western conference points lead with the win.

That loss was almost guaranteed.

Let’s get healthy and get through this road trip.

The pens and avs should have had plenty of guaranteed losses by now.

As we thought, this div will be a dog fight this year. Last nights results didn't help us at alll.

I'm really hoping the injuries don't lead us into a long losing streak here. Minny has been playing great but we've got to get some points

If they get bad news on Lindblom today which I expect will be the case (cause why wouldn't it) Fletcher has to make a move. Can't have Patrick, Lindblom, and Konecny all out indefinitely and just run Stewart, Kase, Vorobyev and these guys out there for weeks at a time. The season will get away from them.

It would be a mistake for the GM to overreact to injuries and give up quality future assets to try and replace any of the injured players. Elevate other players and call up younger players and let them play. If a move can be made for the right price, then fine.

The fun part of being a leader.

If Fletcher makes a move some people will be unhappy.
If Fletcher doesn't make a move some people will be unhappy.

I think the key is no knee jerk reactions. Unless TK and OL ar expected to be out for weeks or months then their hands are forced a bit.

Has there been a report or a clue as to OL's injury?

Wow, just heard the news on Lindblom. I want to make perfectly clear that I don't care about the impact on the Flyers. My heart goes out to him and his family. A young guy in his prime at the top of his game and now this devastating news. Hopefully, on the little bit of what I read about Ewing's sarcoma, it can be cured. Hopefully he can get past this and resume his life and possibly his career.
