im sorry but half this team is playing for contracts. in 6 months some of these guys are going to be in the khl or if their lucky seattle. dont be fooled by sudden success.

He's payed 1 million less than Jack and has 3 goals and 2 assists in 13 games. Thank God he isn't in my fantasy league!

You know what the cold truth is. Evander Kane and Jeff Skinner would have the exact same impact on our roster today. Whatever Jeff makes up for at 5v5, Evander would make up for on our #1 PK and PP units.

How many games have we lost this year due to special teams ? The only difference in my eyes is that one makes $2M more

I'm kinda surprised at the skinner dislike.

I get that you said he isnt worth his contract, which so far you clearly are right.

That said: what value would you out on skinner at his current 8 year deal.

Take in account the jack factor, selling tickets for exciting players ect. Ufa. Buffaluck, lack of ufas chosing buffalo

Playoffs would help. Jack is certainly helping. So is Ralph. That said, money talks and term increases the value of their contract

Imo the answer to that is both yes and no.

Among the 30 highest played goalies, Ullmark is 8th in goals saved above average. He also sees some of the fewest high quality chances against. (4th least)

So in reality he's basically playing to the average. Good goaltender receiving very good treatment from the D in front of him.

Hutton is 13th in GSAA and receives the 2nd best XG against so your upgrade may have to come there.

The reason I would say they aren't an issue though is because you're getting exactly what you paid for with them. They make like nothing on the cap and aren't poopting the bed like Carter Hart or whatever. But the issue is the reason you pay these two so little is so you can dedicate that cap elsewhere. And so far, they've dedicated it to keeping some of the worst value players on the ice.
