Folks need top realize something, Murray was talking Reinhart, even if Ekblad was there he was talking Reinhart.
- SABRES 89

the bigger thing hurting us from that draft was in the second round

if he took Donato, Dvorak, Pettersson or Montour over Cornel , Lemieux or Karabacek

we would be 1 or 2 pieces closer

johansson has dropped off big time since injury, second line is no longer a differenc maker

between skinner, casey, vesey, sheary, and johansson

you have 4 really good wingers for the middle 6

only problem is you have zero centers for those two lines, maybe asplund if you give him a real chance

I wonder how far Botterill is into the 15 month trade process

hello can of worms:

skinner has 3 goals and 2 assists (one primary vs. NJD and one secondary at VAN) in his last 13 games

- Michael Pachla

Skinner looks very frustrated lately. He is almost invisible on the first PP unit, doesn't appear to be an option at all. Buffalo better find him some consistent line mates before he starts causing an issue. I hope that doesn't happen. Mitts is not the answer. He should be a healthy scratch again. Erod looked like he had some jump with his minutes and Vesey is getting better but also not an answer for Skinner.
Buffalo coaching did a great job of spreading the minutes around last game.

The line is like cousins
you only really see them a handful of times a year
if you didnt see them youd be perfectly fine
no matter how hard you try you cant get rid of them

12 points and a +8. Larsson is playing great hockey.

Shutdown McDavid and ror back to back games.

It's great seeing the under appreciated cousin at Christmas.

This is the sample size I want to talk about, because this is exactly the first thing Don Meehan is gonna walk in with and throw on Jason's desk.

I visit another Sabres site that has been around longer than this one and the fans posting on there aren't as friendly to Reinhart as here. It's like night and day. It's like that is college and this is HS or something. It was mentioned that Reinhart appears to be on vacation, he lost the puck again which led to a goal last night, no mention here. Even mentioned he is -3 this year and -57 for his career while he is on track to have the most goals in his career. The rest of his game is seen as close to the gutter. Fans perspective but they cut to the chase where here we stick to the outside coming down the wing much like Skinner

I just thought I'd offer a different perspective on our 2nd best forward. Without Eichel, we got jack!!

If they start talking contract late this season and the Sabres are going nowhere.

I throw sam with angry larry and okposo on his desk.

Thank God he is no longer the GM of this franchise.
- buffalofan19

I'm not defending Murray but, Pegula pretty much put him into " win now" mode. Pegula running his mouth and some of the comments he made pushed Murray into "Do something " mode and some things were very bad decisions.

He's gone 11/7 but not 10/8

And I'm not joking. Ralph will remake the game in his image

Can't bash it if it works. Can't fault the guy for thinking outside the box, which he promised he would.

Living in Ottawa, often listen to our local sports radio guys, one said that Eichel is a spoiled brat and is a reason players do not want to come to Buffalo, and added he really only answers to the owner.
Eichel is by far my fav Sabres player, so please don't take this as a troll post, but wanted to see if anyone else had heard this, first time I had, they also mentioned it goes back to his days at BU.

I'm very much into it. We dont have the center skill to compete that way. Gotta figure out how to put your best players out there, regardless of position.

If anything, I'd like to see him really lean in and try to redefine traditional positions

I am kind of getting tired of this sh!t

all 30 gm's would have given up pick number 2 of the 2014 draft for pick number 2 of the 2015 draft

NOT ALL DRAFT CLASSES ARE THE SAME

there was zero chance that anyone not named bennett, reinhart or leon was going to be taken number 2, no matter who was making that pick

zero chance

so just because we didn't get point, arvidsson, or anyone picked in the first round after pick 4, that's on the old gm and his scouting staff

can't change time

http://www.hockeydb.com/ihdb/draft/nhl2014e.html

reinhart is 4th in scoring from his draft class, 3 points behind larkin

can he be better, sure

they all can, even jack

funny, jack plays a little d and matures a little, and this season he FINALLY becomes the player we all hoped for and is deserving to be in the conversation for the second best center in the game

we all want this team to be better, and make the playoffs

but god damn stopping beating the f@cking horse, it's been dead for 2 years now

sam reinhart has 125 points in his last 154 games

if you think that stinks, lace the skates and tryout for the sabres next summer

- homiedclown

Whatever helps you sleep at night.

I hope Leon wins multiple cups in Edmonton

I hope Mahomes wins multiple SB in Kansas City.

We’ll see if all the Sam and Allen jerkers would still be ok that they didn’t end up with Sam Bennett or Josh Rosen then.

If the Oilers took Eichel over McDavid they would have a poop fit too I’m sure. Or continue to be ok with mediocrity like this board is I’m not sure.

I think, as with most claims like this, there is an element of truth that is wildly exaggerated for effect.
