Go fetch. Boston and St. Louis won't let them go.
- TheSabresTaco

I still want Krejci outta Boston! And I don’t see that happening. Or if we could wind Backus back 4-5 years. Lol

I'm still not over this. I totally get it, I know he's done well..

But this is basically like living your entire life in the mountains of Asia then moving to the United States and discovering the internet. My world is upside down, and it makes me twitch every time someone is in favor of Scandella being extended.

I mean, good for him and good for the Sabres. Does he need Joker to survive? Does he need Ralph? Does he need both?

- TheSabresTaco

He needed foot surgery #1.
New Coach/System #2 ( as the whole team did)
New Partner w very good transition skills #3

Sounds alot like Risto doesn't it.

I was laughed at when I spoke about him being overall incredibly average. I like analytics, but they never, ever tell the whole story, or the propaganda machine on twitter can really blow up a player enormously or deflate a guy based on one or two stats.

One of the first things people should start expecting is that all situations are not created equal. There's a real chance that every player in this league can be a lot better or a lot worse on a different team, under a different coach, on a different line, and with a different partner.

All we know is that we don't (frank)ing know Richard.

- TheSabresTaco

This is still a pretty big upgrade over our bottom pair players for many years.

It was a solid trade for 4/5 guy who can play in any situation.

He also has yet to play with a good D partner for more than a game or 2 at a time

it's a three man race right now

olofsson has 6 games with multi points, 4 in his last five

if he stays hot, he could make it hard not to give it to him

- homiedclown

No doubt. I just think what Makar is doing as a rookie defenceman is incredible.

Olofsson will definitely be on the ballot though.

Eichel is a Hart Finalist right now also.

I think it's Makar's to lose but Olofsson will be a finalist

Eichel is playing like a Hart Winner

If the Sabres make the playoffs and he finishes in the top 5 in scoring he should win it considering nobody on this team will be within 40 points of him

Quinn Hughes is having a nice year too..... not as nice as Makar

I dont see how Eichel wouldnt be hands down top choice for Hart

Just a playful jab at your interest in analytics and sometimes over analysis and over reliance on that info.

Not everything is black and white but it doesn’t have to be a whole rainbow either.

See this is what I think is crazy (not directed solely at you)

People who rely on point totals, which can be attributed to luck/opportunities/teammates as well as skill, to make their points, think others are relying too much on stats that factor is so much more?

I don't really like the Schultz and Schenn comparisons. Schultz not only cashed in on a great season, but he's a completely different style. Hamonic is much closer, but his contract is as old as Bogo's. The Islanders got quite a haul for him, at that point of the trade I think he was seen as a top 2 or 3 dzone guy. At this point, I'm willing to bet Hamonic lands a similar number.

Luke Schenn is hot garbage on the ice.

My best guess, they both get 2-3 years for around 3M

Bogo has been brutal all year long. He can’t skate. He barely can pass. He’s turned into josh gorges. Basically a human pylon

1. I was laughed at.
2. I was gargling Jason's mayonnaise.
3. Dylan Cozens will never be able to carry Brandon Dubinsky's jock.
4. I am a putz because I do not believe Jason Botterill is a putz.
5. Do something Jason.
6. I am a sheep and Tim Murray was the One True GM
7. Jeff Skinner is irrelevant.
8. Sam Reinhart was drafted 2nd overall and it keeps me up at night.
