In Hindsight I'm glad Ty Smith didn't make the team so he didn't have to be part of this year's trainwreck. I'm sure he'll be here for next year's trainwreck though.

For sure and lots of top dmen took lots of time. The blues sent AP back for all of his eligible jr years.

I'm not saying it is guaranteed but I wouldn't be surprised if he was a hobey baker candidate this year, as far as I can see Jack Dugan is the only person who has him beat.

Just trying to put some positive news out there

I still think Fitz would have been better then Naz. For this team to be as bad as they are is really unthinkable. I can't remember a worse defensive devil team ever and I remember those early years. Were back to being a Micky Mouse team. Everything come full circle!!!!!

hard to disagree honestly..

Unless Nico and Hughes REALLY dominate from center, I have a hard time seeing us make the playoffs. We'll be 1 top line LW worse than this year lol. At least Hughes, Gusev and Boqvist will have a year under their belts tho.

Denis Gurianov looked really good in the Dallas game, any interest? Not for Hall but something much smaller. Any goalies out there that we could trade for in a Hall deal?

Just letting folks know in case they had a hard on for him in a Jersey uniform. You never know.

If anything, the sooner they trade Hall the sooner I don't have to hear about trade speculations anymore.

Uh.... Vats/Greene/Simmonds/Coleman/Wood/Mueller........ We could potentially land a stockpile of good picks. Only time will tell, but we are sellers so the trade talks won't be ending until the deadline passes.

No. I love Bogo's game, but he has been an absolute bandaide. Plus the game is getting too fast for him unfortunately. If they choose to move Leddy........

Correct. But the trade speculations will swirl until the deadline passes. Ray likes to do most if his work well before the deadline, so by the start of Feb, we will likely be done while the rumors remain.

Just finished watching a interview with elliotte friedman and he essentially said teams have been and are looking to low ball us.

So Hall unwilling to sign an extension is going to ruin this team.

Do you get the feeling, that similar to this team's performance, we are all going to be .massively disappointed in the haul for Hall?

Its up to Ray to get creative if this is to be the case. Joe might not give up Byram in a trade just for Hall but maybe we absorb one of their contracts or add Vats to get the best prospect or piece we can.

There are other teams though to target should the avs not pony up and other teams that will have a worse contract to unload then the avs so we can still get a blue chip prospect I would imagine just now Ray might have to be a little more creative.

I think you're spot on with this.

Joe had the luxury of sitting for a long time with Duchene before he was able to pull off that payday and obviously Ray Ray has a more pressing deadline. It's going to be tough with other players potentially available like Hoffman and Kreider so it's not like we are the only ones with gold key to the crapper.

Hall (even as a mess on this horrific team) is a point machine and a great player. If I was a legit candidate for a cup run I would definitely love to add him. But realistically no one can go all in for a rental and that's what Hall is. He seems extremely unlikely to negotiate with anyone until Free Agency. Hopefully we can get a conditional pick if he resigns where we trade him like with Henrique.

I'm guessing Carolina as my dark horse to get involved. They have a lot prospects and a ton of picks coming up. They have two picks for the first three rounds (although the extra first rounder pick is conditional and could end up being a 1st rounder next year).
