This 1000 times over, man oh man, stop with the Toews Kane comparisons, one's a center, the other plays by far and away, the easiest position in hockey and because of this, will have definitely more years in his career.

To be fair, the Hawks defense is pretty meh to begin with and then you knock out their top 2 defensmen. What do you expect?

Yeah, and the system doesn’t have the depth to overcome it - certainly Boqvist and Gilbert aren’t ready for the show.

But it’s not the losing - it’s losin in ways that don’t give you hope for the near term - or mid term - future.

Undisciplined - 3 penalties in the first, one in the ozone on a PP, averaging about 4 per game.

Unorganized - looking like they have no idea about where to be on the ice.

Unimproved - not any better than they were in September, after Colliton’s full summer and full camp.

Colliton’s message seems not to be getting thru - if his plan is even doable with this roster.

I would be much more able to stomach these games if they weren’t getting embarrassed in two out of three periods every night.

Toews, Kane, Seabrook, Crawford (Keith when he’s available) - the core, the Cup winners, the accomplished vets - time for them to take charge - in the room and on the ice - pull this team into playing the right way, force them to compete.

Before that, think it had been 8 or 9 periods without our top two lines scoring a 5-on-5 goal. Yet, JC continues to trot them out there game after game, shift after shift.

In that last PP with, in effect, the first line, DBC misses Kane with a pass, whiffs on a one-timer off pass from Kane, and bobbles another Kane pass. There is NO chemistry there. He is not Panarin.

very lazy play by kane on a nuetralized draw...he has to get that puck..

I’m guessing that we might be seeing someone other than Boqvist playing for the Hawks soon. He is not alone, but he is not ready to be playing here.

BTW, glad to see Maatta is healthy. My earlier fears ungrounded I guess.
