Putting it perspective for you.

And you do not need to listen to Greta, you don’t have to listen to anyone. It’s your world as it is everyone else’s.

I care about the planet, I’m almost 30 I have a long time on this planet(I hope).

I am happy she is displaying a message and raising awareness. I am happy that young people are listening to her because at the end of the day they matter more the the people with a lot less time left on this planet. The majority of the older generation is a loss cause and I don’t entirely blame them. I’d probably care a lot less too.

We understood already that you are part of the 'lots of complaints, but 0 solutions' crew.
Crying doesn't help anything - adapt your lifestyle then. You're wasting energy typing your nonsense on your phone / computer anyways - start addressing that point maybe?

Yeah, but 5-4 Canucks if Andersen isn’t stupid-good.

11-4 if Hutchinson is in net.

- Atomic Wedgie

Lost in these narratives is the fact that the other teams' goalie is also making some very good saves. Last night we had 9 High Danger Chances to the Canucks' 8. It was an open affair.

Andersen had 4 breakaways yesterday which is just unacceptable. They also had some obvious breakdowns here and there, but all teams do.

The Leafs don't have great defense - everyone knows this - but the story is just so pronounced that we're forced to pretend that the purpose of an NHL goalie isn't to make good saves.

"If it wasn't for Andersen . . . ." That's literally his job and why he is paid $5 million dollars. Because he's really, really good at his job.

Similar to the Habs and the preposterous argument that "if it wasn't for Price . . .". there's a reason they have opted to dedicated 1/8th of their cap space to him. He's a vital part of their winning formula in the estimation of the management team.

I don’t listen to the 60 year olds with uneducated opinions either (not sure why you need to dismiss them based upon skin colour and gender). That’s exactly my point.

The left (of which I am one of) can’t have it both ways: if uneducated guests on Fox News should be ignored because they don’t have a background of knowledge to be credible, don’t turn around and tell the world they need to listen to Greta.

It’s hypocritical.

- Atomic Wedgie

Not sure I agree with the analogy. Fox et al. parade out their puppets and we can listen or not. Greta gets a podium and we can listen or not.

She gets her audience just like the others. For her to NOT get an audience would be hypocritical b/c for gods sake we have to listen to everyone else with an opinion.

If anything I'd give her a pinch more deference with her message because she's only 16 (and autistic) and maybe doesn't have the same bias ($$) that most of us old bastards have developed.

Sadly, she does do harm.

She allows the very people who need to be converted to dismiss the message, because she's a 16 year old with no scientific background.

Let me put it to you another way:

If there was a 16 year old espousing a view that was from the right side of the political spectrum, would you give him/her the time of day? Would you consider his/her argument, or laugh it off as the uneducated views of a kid who hasn't graduated from high school yet?

- Atomic Wedgie

So is that her fault or the fault of the people who need to be converted? Shes sharing a message that many scientist (most) have already said.

You know when you walk downtown and there's that guy on the corner in the tattered clothes with the ratty hat and something that might be dirt smeared all over him, including his face. He smells of something that's not quite sewage, but certainly is comprised of at least 40% waste product. And he has that sign, "The End is Nigh!".

Do you stop to argue with him? He's clearly crazy!

No, I say to him, "Hey, Santo, how come you aren't on HB being a (frank)ing bumhole like usual."

You couldn’t beat a superior team in the Flames, but you should have success in Oil town. Good luck!
