She does no harm.

I like Anderson, but Kap is a high price to pay for him.

Maybe Kap and Ceci for Anderson and Savard?

I expect a lot more from him.

He has been on this lull the past year. He does a really good job evading fore checkers but does (frank) all with it when he gets the open space.

And this is against 3rd and 4th lines.

- Santo_44

Dermott is our only fighter/tough guy, and I do like that he is good at avoiding the forecheck and doesn't turn the puck over too much

I wouldn’t

They are both pretty even in terms of value.

He would be a pretty awesome fit, but he is a RW and Marner/Nylander aren't going anywhere.

The Rielly-Barrie pairing has been good.. .Who would've thought?.... Lousy Babs.

Also, I like that we have an actual, or rather an attempt at an actual shutdown pair with Muzzin and Holl.

Dermott-Ceci has been ok, I don't expect much from Ceci anymore..

- PatC80

Still not sold on Holl, got walked a couple times last night...but he does lots well, just his speed I worry about.

He has that element people say the Leafs are missing but he is "actually good" unlike most names being thrown around.

and he is a RFA.

They would sign him to a Kap like deal.

Id have to watch him more before i send my approval to dubie.

But, they have reduced his level of competition. Ceci is not the gaping cesspit of awful now that he's not being asked to defend against the best the opposition has to offer. You put Ceci against a team's bottom 6, and he's not that bad - because the game slows down a bit, and gives him that reaction time he needs.

Against a team's top 6, he's prone to mistakes because he just doesn't think the game fast enough.

I'm stealing a bit of that analysis from other people, but from observations I agree with the assessment of Ceci. He can skate decently for his size. He can shoot ok. He can pass ok. He can stick check ok. He doesn't do anything well, but he doesn't do it that poorly if he's given time to do it.

There have been rumors linking him to the Leafs more than once the past 3-4 years.

With Lou and Dubas as the GM...maybe they know he would like to play here, he is from Burlington.

I'd rather swap Johnnson but Anderson doesn't play LW.

Agree with his lack of foot speed, same goes for Muzzin, but it's our best chance at having a shutdown pair, so, I'm hoping for the best.. Also, it means Ceci is on the 3rd pairing, which is good.

Want to throw a link for that one ...should be easy to find.

In November 11,000 scientists, not named Greta, published the "climate emergency" piece that created much of this current drama. Greta is the face of the 'youth movement'. The "face' of the grown up movement has been the IPCC since the 80's and is supported by Nasa, etc.....

I have no idea why people get so amped up about a 16 yr autistic girl being a part of some efforts to improve the world. Surely we all agree we need a change in direction. If she's pushing the envelope too far who the (frank) cares ...it can't be a bad thing right?

- The Law

IPCC is a fraud as well.

I don't pick and choose which 30 games on HockeyDB I want to use to judge a player.

Well said.. Ceci is much better suited against other teams bottom lines, where their role is to fore-check and pressure the puck.. I am hopeful, he can be successful with Dermott.

They can only go so far as McDavid and Draisaitl will take them. They built up an early playoff cushion, but I wouldn't be surprised if they miss the playoffs. Those two are playing so damn much, that you just have to wonder if that will catch up to them. I've seen Draisaitl push 30 min on occasion

I think Holl is more than adequate for what he's being asked to do. I'd love to say that Player 'X' is stellar, but we don't have that luxury. For a guy to come out of press box Hell and step up into a top-4 shutdown role on the right-side, he's been pretty impressive.

He's 27 years old and only has 43 NHL games to his credit. He's going to make mistakes. He's going to get walked. He needs to learn how to position himself and how to make the most out of his skills - similar to how Hainsey learned to get walked a lot less frequently, and Hainsey is slower than stink in a humid room.
