In November 11,000 scientists, not named Greta, published the "climate emergency" piece that created much of this current drama. Greta is the face of the 'youth movement'. The "face' of the grown up movement has been the IPCC since the 80's and is supported by Nasa, etc.....

I have no idea why people get so amped up about a 16 yr autistic girl being a part of some efforts to improve the world. Surely we all agree we need a change in direction. If she's pushing the envelope too far who the (frank) cares ...it can't be a bad thing right?

But for now, allow me to announce just a few of the things the Atomic Wedgie government would implement:

- Daylight Savings Time would be revamped, so that in the Spring we would move our clocks forward one hour on a Friday at 4 pm, so it would be quitting time 1 hour early. Further, in the Fall we would set our clocks back an hour on a Monday morning, so that you get an extra hour to sleep in before going to work.

- Hallowe'en would be moved back to September 31st in cold weather climes, so that yummy mummies on my street could wear their slutty Hallowe'en outfits out when they take their kids trick or treating children don't have to cover up their costumes with their ski jackets.

I'm in but I'd ask that Halloween be moved to the last Saturday of September ...so I can sleep off my hangover.

A new coach and the team tries harder.
Up until this season the leafs were 164 - 123 under babs.

Lets hope the leafs can go 34 - 18 under keefe this year.

I think the team as a whole is still in transition under Keefe. Everyone gets a pass to some degree as long as they aren't mailing it in or completely crapping the bed.

Petan yesterday, by that metaphor, ruined the bed. I'd be inclined to mail him back to the Marlies and see what Agostino or Korshkov or Marchment or Bracco can bring to the table. With Moore and Johnsson both injured, he's being given a chance to prove whether he's an NHL player or not, and he is not stepping up for the audition.

Both Muzzin and Ceci will have the hardest time acclimating to the Keefe system of non-positional play because they aren't fast or that great with the puck. The other thing to keep in mind is that in the past few games, a shift has been made to give the Muzzin/Holl pairing the harder minutes to afford Rielly/Barrie more offensive opportunities.

I don't disagree about Muzzin, for what it's worth, but I think he's still not comfortable in the new dynamic.

I think Moore is back by end of the road trip so Petan/Aberg soon to be gone. I liked Timashov better than Aberg ...he finished his checks and did some good 4th line work I thought.

When crunch time comes the youth of today is going to be the ones that are going to have to change as a unit.

A lot of old angry men and women are a lost cause. But having a 16 year old as a voice to get the youth on climate change is never a bad idea.

She isn't harming anyone.
