I actually don't mind Thompson, he is the kid of veteran you want to have around... seems like a positive person to have in the dressing room, can play dirty / tough minutes, and is rarely a liability on the ice.

Far be it from me to disagree with the greatest player of all time, but at 5-on-5 the Habs are 3rd in goals scored, 4th in high-danger chances generated, and 2nd in shots generated.

Statistically speaking, they're extremely exciting.

yes but there's been a pretty dramatic shift in their approach these last 4-5 games. while they were compiling those impressive offensive stats, they were hemorrhaging opportunities and goals against. from a Montreal fan POV that was a fun game to watch last night. from a non-partisan standpoint, that was a boring hockey game.
