four breakaways in the 3rd protecting a lead. i don't think i've see anything like that before. need to fix that asap.
do you know what happened? what broke-down? - Tumbleweed
Oh my god they only won 4-1. But the breakaways!! No team allows that! |

I was right all along. It's funny how Keefe is doing everything I said needed to be done. - RogerRoeper
I'll admit on this one, I defended Babcock based on his pedigree, Shanny and Yzerman. Not a good look now. |

Andersen is never the best of the best, but he might be one of the most consistent. Over a season he pretty much ends up the same place
I saw this stat the other day
Cant ask for much more out of a tender - senstroll
Andersen has been bad in decisive playoff games.
Seems that when the pressure is on, he breaks. |

Babcock was not playing the best players enough. His player usage was insane.
The funny thing is, Keefe can do very little and just do the obvious and look like a hero.
The Barrie usage was shockingly stupid by Babs. |

Yet Leaf fans daily hear from other team's fans that Andersen carries them on his back and he's amazing.
The "Hype" of Andersen comes a lot from non Toronto fans and media. - RogerRoeper
No.
Most leafs know that andersen keeps this team a float. Same with the toronto media, they know it would be ugly without their starter. |

This is true. He had an under 900 save % in 7 games against Boston 2 years ago. Last year he was better, but then let in a back-breaking horrible game 7 goal to kill the team.

He does not keep the team afloat at all. The struggles from December last year to Babcock being fired had him playing bad. |

He should get hype, I keep hearing “we’re the best” but we’re bottom 5 in shots against and bottom 7 in High Danger Chances against.
We clean this up and we could possible be the team to beat, not 100% we have the exact personnel for that...time will tell I guess. |

he def let in a stinker or 2 in game 7
I am not worried about him though. No goalie is 100% all the time. You just want his consistency

I'm more worried about Dallas with my Leafs over Stars in 6 for the cup prediction. They fired their coach when they were red hot. |

A great example was last week in Buffalo. Hutton faced more shots and had better #'s but the spin was Freddy saved the day!!! |

no.
no team allows 4 breakaways in the 3rd period while protecting a lead. that is actually correct.
but it's fixable. andersen saved their ass. they need to put the clamps down on 3rd period leads.
don't be so sensitive.

Everything is so magnified with the Leafs it's ridiculous. All teams have flaws.

Cause the coach was eating cottage cheese off the owner's wife's breasteses.

1 point. You are only looking at the WC. They are 1 point from 3rd in Atlantic. 2 points from 2nd in Atlantic. - RogerRoeper
They are tied with the habs at 34pts - leafs have played an extra game then them and 2 -3 games more than tampa and the rangers who are only 2pts behind the leafs. The team the leafs are 1pt behind have 2 more games to play.
Not a great position in December for a team that was supposedly top 5 in the league. |
