Seeing a lot of love for Pierre Engvall, which is deserved, but he will face the same problem Rasmus Sandin did - the Leafs cannot carry 21 on the roster if Engvall is staying up. That would mean waiving both Gauthier and Timashov if no other moves are made.
One thing that stands out to me is the timing of things is important and when they happened, its easy to look at things today and say, Lou should have done this or Dubas should have done that.

Dubas has done a solid job looking at that. - RogerRoeper
People like to nitpick Dubas's decisions.
Meanwhile Lou signed Z and Marleau to horrible deals.
He didn't give Marner performance bonuses even though players of his caliber always get them...like Babcock he refused to change and adapt his ways for the better of the team.
While Dubas added Muzzin for two years at the TDL Lou traded two 2nd round picks for 4th line players that played 20 games each for the team.
He traded a PPG player in Kessel and somehow had to retain 1.2 million for 6 years.
I am not saying Lou is a bad GM, he is a good GM. But Dubas has done a pretty excellent job here. Nitpicking a few mistakes is silly.
