I was just reading that

"It’s also interesting to note that Ralph Krueger is sheltering this pairing with offensive zone starts. Natural Stat Trick has them at an 87.05% offensive zone start rate. He’s putting this pairing in a position that helps reduce how often they’re forced to defend."

Imagine that. Using Ristolainen as an offensive defenseman is a good idea

- jcragcrumple

Before I got to that point, I'm generally thinking "great, they're fine in the dzone as long as Risto lets Montour handle it. Then, I see the OzS and I said.. "..oh."

So, yeah, it's not super great, but you're putting him in a position to succeed. Finally. As long as you have a strong actual D pairing that... plays D. Scandella and Joker, what's their OzS

Ullmark is having a pretty good game
- Buff36

They put up a stat in last night's game that Ullmark has a .941 save percentage 5x5 this year. That's pretty damn good.

So 32 games is a large enough sample size and basically confirms what I said back on July 1st.

This team is not a bottom 10 team, nor is it a playoff team if you factor in points per games played. We also still need a 2C.

So for everyone who rode the 8-1-1 wave, started watching Lafreniere clips during the 10 game stretch after that and gave in to the tank, then watched the team control shot share these past 10 games and get back to playing playoff bubble hockey, you could of saved yourself’s the emotional distress if you listened to galaxy brain

They had their lapses in the 2nd but overall a strong game and a good win against a very good team.

Mitts has zero confidence right now and the best thing the Sabres can do for his development is to send him to Rochester. For some inexplicable reason they won't. Strange for an organization that believes in developing the young players.

1.they have got to get that middle 6 going

2. hutton needs a 2 month vacation, call up either rochester goalie, carry 3, and ride ullmark and play the other guy over hutton in back to back games

3. f@ck the leafs, panthers, bolts, bruins, habs, steelers, patriots, and yankees

- homiedclown

Yup, it’s sad that Eichel and LOG line are the only ones producing.

The other 2 lines have been pathetic. Mitts got benched Erod is erod. It’s frustrating to watch

It's not frustrating when they win.

Wasn’t Mitts supposed to be the 2C?

What is the interal feeling on Casey?

Is it "he's a good guy. he works hard" or is it "he needs to figure this out sooner than later"

I'm guessing it's the former.

So last night super speedster Troy Brouwer blew by Zach Bogosian.

I mean I get it when you think of fastest skaters in the league you think Troy Brouwer.

Can they play anyone but Bogosian?

Ryan O’Reilly has been pretty brutal offensively for St. Louis 5 on 5 this year.

They’re worse with him on the ice in terms of shot quality and shot location

But hey, he’s got some pointsssssss at 3 on 3, a bunch of secondary PP assists, so he’s playing super well

would you say there is a chart or possibly a graph out there that will depict what happens to offense when you lose a 30-40 goal scorer due to injury?

Maybe they should take the road that leads to Rochester for a month or two. His confidence is shot. Press box duty or sitting in the 3rd period of games isn’t gonna fix that.

Whoever just said, like 4 posts up, for a organization that believes and preaches development,... what the he’ll are they doing. Did the same thing with sstt last year. Why aren’t they learning from previous mistakes?

Botterill is very patient, except when he's not, but in those cases it's probably best to just go ahead and blame tim Murray

Can’t be Tim Murray. He didn’t draft him. Might have scouted him, but that can’t be it. It has to be something else..... 🤔.... it’s gotta be the badda bing... is the bing sucking botts in too....

I'm trying to determine whether it's the goal or the assist that actually doesn't matter and why he's not scoring more than 2 goals per game.

Charts, please and thank you.

- TheSabresTaco

Let me know when sam has more points than the guy picked 179 picks later. You know- the rookie

Maybe riding the bus for a few months would wake Mittelstadt up. Maybe hes just not good. The status quo doesn't seem to be a good option though. Gluing a guy to the bench for a whole period because they dont trust him to play hockey is no bueno

Or, better said, trying like hell to keep Risto, a Defenseman out of the defensive end is a good idea.

Hes still south of 50% o zone starts on the year. The fact that he's a +9 is something of a Christmas miracle
