Yeah idk.

I'm busy trying to figure out why someone doesn't want Pilut here.

Oh wait because he isn't 6 foot 4. Because we've had so much success with all the big dudes

Pilut is really unproven.
We already have a young group of d
*dahlin
*joker
*montour

The team is soft without pilut and with bogo.

You dont see this?

Nobody ever wants to mention Nashville in trade talks they are a team who are down and could surely use a changing of the guard.
I know its not ideal but a guy like Grandlund could help us in the short term and we could send some youth that isnt all that high caliber

It’s almost a certainty that Pilut is an upgrade at this point.

I don’t care how soft they are. Our “tough” d men in 19 and 4 are routinely getting scored on at a higher clip than others.

You don’t see that?

Find me an impact player and I'll be glad to use impact assets in return. Don't we have enough budget league players..

we need a center they have older centers they have what would be upgrades for our current roster.

What happened to bashing risto ? He's played great lately

This team is super soft.
I cant help you see that.

Not being soft is important.
I cant help you see this either. Not on a stat sheet or graph.

You mean the team that includes Bogosian, McCabe, Ristolainen?

I haven't seen their apparent toughness lately.

Where was Bogo, or Risto, or McCabe with a response to the Dahlin hit?

Yes the team is super soft.
If it were to happen again, more likely any of these players address it before a 5'8 155lb swede

It's not just "protection " . It's making it hard to play against the Sabres.

Bogo blows , I like his game though. Not so much lately

It's not the size of the dog in the fight, it's whether the dog is willing to take off his skate and stab a mother(frank)er

It will be hard to play against us when we have the puck more than the other team, because our D men will know how to get out of the zone and to our forwards.

Half the reason we don't seem tough is because we are always chasing teams around instead of the other way.

Montour played pretty physical in Anaheim in the playoffs, Risto is physical, Dahlin is 6'2 and will become very physical and he grows. Jokiharju doesn't shy away from contact either.

I don't see a problem with toughness on the blue line.

I'd personally like a little more physicality up front

I kinda agree with you. Aside from really relying on our current #10 d man to replace a top 4 d

Its not cut and dry or the grass isnt always greener on the other side of the pasture 🤔

I've said this before I think, Botterill loves Girgensons, Larrson, Bogo, Okposo and Sobotka for some stupid reason.

I think in this particular case it is.

We have 5 years of bad/injured/ipod shuffling play from DJ Trainers table

We have 33 games of promising play from a guy doing very well in Rochester

Pilut is one of our top 6 d-men. I’m surprised his agent has not requested a trade yet.

The only thing keeping him in the minors is the fact he has a 2-way contract.

I've been bitten by 3 dogs. Two large, one medium. One of them made eye contact from 50 yards and headed straight for me in a dead sprint. He was off leash and owned by a lady who said "he doesn't like men with beards." And then she walked away without apologizing. I haven't been back to New Orleans since.

Anyway, I digress. I have no idea if Larry Pilut is a biter

our gm stated he wants an upbeat north south team

pilut fits that mold better then scandella, miller, mccabe and bogo

so either he lied then or he has not clue what team he wants

when a team is strapped against the cap and says they want an upbeat team

I would rather have the cheap guy with 39 points in 48 games in the ahl then the 15 mil we are paying those 4 guys

it's crazy

you play pilut, dahlin and joker every night you have three quality d men making under 3 mil total

imagine what a decent GM could do with that savings on the short term to build his roster
