Still waiting for my refund for the charm that never came last Christmas.

guess your seller isn't legit. I know my niece sells a lot on there. curious, did you reach out to the company who runs the site?

The AVS game still a mountain to climb with Konecny. Without him 🚨

I thought the hit was late as was the "retribution" hit by Laughton.

terrible call and NE screwed themselves by not having any reviews. NFL officiating has to be the worse in all sports
- nastyflyergirl

They had to use a review on an obvious fumble call.

The lack of depth like Frost, Farabee, and Myers?

No team has an infinite pool, but those were 3 players capable of playing the top top-6F/top-4D that they have called up since the season began. That's much better than most team can do. Do you expect them to have an NHL 40-goal scoring playing the AHL to call up?

And what do you mean if/when? They already have Raffl out and Patrick has missed the entire season thus far. Laughton just recently returned, Pitlick missed all of camp, Morin's done for the season, and Rubstov isn't an option right now since he's out. Note that Bill also showed what other AHL injuries they've had to deal with.

The hit wasn't anywhere near a bad as a dozen hits that Rinaldo and Gudas laid as Flyers this decade. Quit whining about "retribution".
- Feanor

Speaking of Gudas Did anyone see him get pummelled the other night having to fight after a questionable late hit?

I did. The refund process is very tedious and misleading. Also, you don't the the option to contact the seller in any way.

In the end, it was $12 and the hassle was just getting to be too much. Ended up finding it for the same price on eBay a few days later and was able to get it before XMas. But will never deal with it again.

I'd argue that Patrick is pretty significant. They were hoping for him to take a big step this year.

I hate the "You hit too hard, now we need to fight" mentality the NHL has. Back in the 80s and 90s, it was, "Well, keep your head up," (unless it was Wayne Gretzky, then you were a dead man).

FFS, it's a contact sport. As long as the guy isn't Tom Wilson or Brad Marchand, it's a clean hit more often than not.

the elbow from E. Kane or was there another bad hit?

Why would Boro get a suspension? Both players smacked their heads against each other. Both got hurt and went to the dressing room. Boro did come back. Hit was late but not malicious in any way
- xShoot4WarAmpsx

Am I the only one who thought that TK skated into Boro, and both players were unaware of each other position on the ice?

Gudas put a big hit on Nick Ritchie and the Deslauriers (spelling?) beat the piss out of him...and his helmet.

Gudas laid a late hip check on Nick Ritchie against Anaheim the other night and he agreed to fight Deslaurier. Not the best idea but knew he had to step up!

understood just saying they didn't have reviews left and it screwed them. obviously getting the call wrong is the issue. i get its a fast game but mistakes like that kill teams.

Bad calls cost the Pats two TD's. I'd be pissed if they were my team.

I don't follow the NFL as much but if they used a review on the obvious fumble do they not get to keep their challenge if it is right. In Canada in the CFL this is the case or are they just allowed so many challenges per game and that is it?

Short of taking hitting out of the game how do you prevent a play like what happened from taking place?

You can't would be the answer.

When we get to watch in super slow motion it's easy to say "he shouldn't have done that" reality on the rink is much different because it comes much quicker.

Yes it sucks that TK is out but that is part of the price that athletes pay in a physical and fast sport like hockey.

I'd agree if it was a hit targeting the head. It wasn't. They went pretty well chest to chest. There was nothing malicious about it, most of the time nobody gets hurt on a hit like that.

On today's Philly.com article they say NoPa is out with "concussion syndrom".

Is that a mistake or has his diagnosis changed?

It's in the notes section at the end

And as we've seen, Konecny has no issue running his mouth out there. Now he backs it up, but still. Maybe something boiled over from the previous game with the Sens. Being a smaller guy Konecny has to be highly aware on the ice with the chip he plays with. It sucks, but he got caught not being alert. I think you can say he's been one of their top players, arguably the best. Being down Patrick, and to a lesser extent Raffl this is certainly going to have a pretty big effect on the standings if he's out long term.
