I feel like Wentz ended up having a good game.
Need to look at his game stats. - opeth_pa
Horrible first half but he did what ive been harping on for the last few weeks....he put the team on his back and made plays. He was decisive, confident and athletic.GREAT JOB |

Agreed. Even before the slew of injuries, he was killing worms or throwing 10 yards wide, but over the last 20 minutes he put them on his back (and the coach decided to run the ball) and finally had a 4th quarter/OT comeback win. Good finish, but he's got to be more consistent if they want to have a legit shot at Dallas. |

Big test coming for this Flyers team playing some quality opponents. Konecny concussed, out indefinitely, Myers with recurring back spasms, Farabee getting his wisdom teeth yanked.

Bring back VandeVelde!
Nice and slow, up and down your wing, stay in your lane. 200ft hockey. Consistent. |

I agree with what the color guy was saying. On a number of balls he was throwing them away or purposely throwing low because guys simply weren't open. |

I saw the same thing. Whiteside does not know how to use his frame yet. Ward catches with his body which should be a no-no for a professional WR.
Wentz hasn't been great this year. However, you saw last night that when they start calling a coherent offense that has some pace Wentz is at his best. Just configure the offense to what he is good at. Outside the pocket more often and stick to the run until you have more talent outside. |

I know, Saint Wentz is never the issue, he's never had a chance. Just give him a few hall of fame caliber receivers and he'll show you how good he is. |

It's definitely a combo of lack of talent, Wentz struggling and the play calling being mediocre.
After they started running a crisp offense he was able to get into a rhythm.
I think most of the issue is play calling. They simply do not play to Wentz's strengths a majority of the time. Couple that with no one making a play almost ever at the skill positions and you have a pedestrian looking offense.

I'm not saying Wentz is the reason they are/were losing. I'm not even saying he's bad. I'm saying that , until we can look at more than an 11-game sample in a year when Nick Foles won them a Super Bowl, he hasn't shown me this elite franchise QB tag that people seem to bestow upon him. I didn't think that was too outlandish of a thought. |

I agree. I also think it is on the coach to play to his strengths. That's literally what they did with Nick Foles and won the Super Bowl. Seems silly to me that the Eagles would not see that he is best when on the move and not incorporate that more often.
I also think it is absurd that they only had two available WR's last night after Jeffrey went down and both were rookies.
This team does not have the talent to win the Super Bowl. They do have enough talent to win the next three games and make the playoffs. I think it is important for Wentz to get a playoff game. |

I agree. Even if they get soundly beaten, the experience would be good. |

Looks like Pitlick has moved up in the lineup replacing Konecny. Has JVR become a 7 million dollar 4th liner at this point? Yikes. |

I agree. A lot of the stuff is left over from when Foles was the QB. The coaching was fantastic in the SB year. Not so much this year.

I personally think that with the issue at the skill positions that they have and the offensive line playing erratically, even Brady would struggle. I'm not trying to compare but when I see a full compliment of quality options around him, then I'll fairly evaluate him.

Which is fine. But until we can fairly evaluate him, can we cool it with the elite (and equivalent) tag that gets thrown on him? |

I think hes shown enough to have that verbiage used when talki g about him. With that said, i cant stand the excuse making for him and not judging his performance accordingly, unbiased and matter of factly |

Is it just me or is American Football completely unwatchable? The only redeeming quality I find in these 4+ hour broadcasts is there's a lot of downtime to read. And can the broadcasters just STFU for like at least 10 seconds once in awhile? The incessant analysis and bloviating becomes tedious within the first three minutes of a game. |
