An autographed Sheary jersey and he is yours.

Sounds great, just as long as Sheary isn't in the jersey. You could turn around and give the jersey to his mom.....likely the only one who would want it.

I'd try for Scandella, but Sheary or Vesey would be fine.
- Tojo.

They can't trade him. They'd only have like 1 left shot D remaining on the roster.

All he did was score at 5v5. How could you not like him? He was the perfect cheap complimentary winger for our cap issues.

I guess that depends on when Dahlin is back. Or if McCabe is just buried. I just checked daily faceoff and they had Montour and Miller on the left and I know Jokiharju has also payed there.

I wouldn't want Woods. We don't need the 2.75M cap hit for 2 more years for a guy who is on the block seemingly because he's dogging it and only as 7 points.

If Hoffman is on the block, I’d Love to see him on the LW with Sid or Geno. Dude has a (frank)ing laser beam.
- j.boyd919

Man the PP.. dude can fire one timers it be sick.
Edit: Damn I thought he was righty. But he could be Geno's new Neal.

I was using capfriendly and didn't check the IR lists so you are probably right. Either way, I still don't see us trading for any defenders at the moment. I think they love their starting 6 and will ride with them. Unless a super obvious deadline deal comes through.

With the way Marino is playing too I don't think anything is needed on the right side. I think they will clear as much space as possible and go for a big fish to play LW with Geno.

Here's what I'd say about our internal options:

McCann 9 G, 18 pts in 28 games
Kahun 8 G, 17 pts in 29 games
Tanev 6 G, 16 pts. in 30 games

Are all producing at top 6 levels. None of them has seen significant time on the top PP or next to Sid or Gino. Tanev has played mostly with Blueger and ZAR.

None of them are Taylor Hall, but assuming we can't get him, they might be as good as who we can get (though I'd still call try for Toffoli and lengthen the line up).

I don't think they're totally pleased with Pettersson. Right no JJ is getting more time. I figure a LD as a band-aid while Dumoulin is out.

Scandella has been mentioned, not sure they don't need him more than Galchenyuk though right now so I'd tend to agree, but I'd ask.

The teams that might want Galchenyuk are still in the race and are desperate enough at forward to take a flyer on him. He won't go to a team like LA or NJ except as a cap dump to finish the trade.

I wouldn't say "won't" but maybe less of a chance. We've seen way crazier..

I know he's a little limited but Wood is always noticeable. Has some Tanev like qualities. Just go all in on the forechecking demon identity.

I like the idea of a scoring winger to play with Geno but I dont see how you get that from a Galchenyuk trade unless you get real lucky with someone falling out of favor or someone still seeing huge potential in Galch.

I mean maybe Galch + + + gets you Hall or Gaudreau but it seems like a long shot.

Toffoli is definitely far superior to Pearson. I like the idea of a RH sniper. But again Galch isnt a deal that makes sense for LA.

This may seem convoluted, but I could see Galchenyuk being a throw-in a deal for cap purposes and then that team flipping for a pick. I would think that more plausible if a trade is done well before the deadline and he's then flipped by said team.

I agree that can happen so he'd have a little value as a secondary asset, just not the main piece, unless it's a change of scenery deal for another UFA on a team at least in the playoff race.

I have read Woods is on the block in part because he's stopped being that guy.

The rest I agree on. Galchenyuk is worth maybe a 3rd if not a 4th and that's based on past performance and no long-term commitment similar to how we got Schultz.

Someone else mentioned Namestnikov and I had brought him a while back as well. While I think if the Pens look to bring in a forward that they should be swinging for the fences, I'm not opposed to someone like him to replace what Galchenyuk should have brought.

Someone like Namestnikov may not light the world on fire, but they could really round out having a versatile deep forward group.

Hall would obviously be the first choice if that were even possible and Toffoli after that though whom I think is much more possible. If Zucker becomes available that would be #3 on that list. After that I'd be looking at the Namestnikovs of the NHL.

Killing it actually. #1 in my division, 20th overall. I'm not looking forward to this week though. I don't feel good about my lineup.

What about you?

Nice!

The Oil-thread got me into Yahoo fantasy, and i play now in 6 (low) cash leagues and 2 free ones.

Also play HBSL, but till now completely blind just setting my roster weekly... in case i qualify for playoffs i will obviously put in more effort.

Oh, and i would go with Pageau as 3C... a lot more affordable than Hall, and he should excel there with Tanev and alike. Besides his redhot November (11 ES goals; yesyes, shooting percentage 30%...) he scored 4 goals in a playoff game vs. Rangers two years ago, so basically the anti-Sheary...

I would love Pageau, but it appears the ask for him is a bit much. Was it Tojo who said that they're looking for a first? Not worth a first IMO even if they worked out a reasonable extension. If the big names aren't available I'd be looking at players like Namestnikov.

Jake-Sid-Rust
Namestnikov-Geno-Bjugstad
Kahun-McCann-Horn
Simon-Blue-Tanev
ZAR

I think Bjugstad's ability to protect the puck and cycle would go a long way next to Geno. He's also solid in zone exits/entries.

Nice. I'm putting the finishing touches on my lineup right now, but I don't feel good about it. Luckily I'm up against one of the weaker guys in my division, but I could see mine falling flat.

LW: B.Tkachuk, Marchand, Vrana, M.Tkachuk
C: Draisaitl, JT Miller, Pettersson, MacKinnon
RW: Kuch, Pasta, Boeser, DeBrincat
D: Hedman, Sergachev, D'Angelo, Edler, Makar, Hughes
G: Jarry and Kuemper
