Zucker still available? Their center depth is pretty thin. Bjugstad, 1st, prospect?

I have a weird feeling they try this out when healthy. I think they are clearly over the Galchenyuk experiment and would likely move on from him. I think they originally intended to use Bjugstad on the wing, but he just settle in at center last season. Now with McCann doing his thing at center, they could move Bjugstad to wing to test him out there. - burgh4life87
That's another line-up I'd like to try, though I might flip Tanev and Simon if McCann is the 3C because I like them together. Just hope we get some run of health before the deadline. |

Zucker hasn't been available since the GM change. Might be later but again they're doing well. That sounds like too much for him though, 2 assets I think would be enough. |

Apparently Sabres are linked to Galchenyuk.
One of our Insiders******* grain of salt says that they are trying to get it done before the freeze.

Bjugstad is to free up cap space. I know the wild are close to being in a wild card spot, if they fall further away, I’d have to think Zucker would be available. |

Pump the brakes. There should be no talk about acquiring Bertuzzi or Mantha. They are almost untouchable and PIT doesn’t have the assets to even get the conversation started. - Feds91Stammer
They absolutely do. Whether or not they should is a different story. |

Two 1st rounders, Galchenyuk and JJ should be enough to get the deal done. - Murphy_Dump
Not even close. |

Yeah sure they have the assets if you consider the core players which would defeat the purpose of a trade... |

A bag of pucks and 3 new Gatorade bottles. One with the long stem for our tendies. |

Someone mentioned a Galch/Vesey swap. I’m ok with that considering it sheds some cap space and get back a player who may benefit from a change, like Galch needs |

Well the way I see it is Guerin was assistant GM for a team that highly valued him, wanted him and tried to trade for him and now he's the GM of the team Zucker is on.....so he probably still thinks very highly of him and wants to keep him. |

I don't think Bjugstad is a straight cap dump, he's a decent middle six player. Zucker probably doesn't get a 1st plus prospect right now.
But sure, he can easily be available later, I was just answering as to is he available right now. |

I'd do it just for the "gave up Sheary to get Jack Johnson only to get Sheary back for Phil Kessel, so we traded Phil Kessel for Jack Johnson" rant from RW. |

Not much really, but I assume you have to send salary back. One thing we don't need is a RD though. |

The dude scored like 14 5v5 goals a season for us. I'd take him back in a heartbeat. |

I would too..and he's a 1.9 mill cheaper cap hit than Galch.

Yes, please. I think Galch for Vesey or Sheary would be a fair swap, if Botts actually liked Galch that is. |

It was Elliot Friedman who mad the comments that Buffalo was looking at him so who knows. He just reports everything he hears.
I think that would be fair as well. Galch just hasn't fit the system. |
