I've had enough of this Goat bashing.

Actually honestly he's been okay but not all that and a bag of chips or a couple of chocolate bars. He's not a Twix and Coffee Crisp for example.

- Zezel

Just a big body which is never used. And really just a PK'er only. Don't think he's here for long.

Gauhtier is useless. He doesn't even use his size so it's irrelevant
- RogerRoeper

He's not useless, but he is certainly inconsistent. I'll say that there are numerous better options.

In defense of the Goat, he's won 55.2% of his faceoffs, which is a good thing. There have been, I think, 3-4 times when he used his size along the wall to move the puck effectively through bodies. Two of those times were in the preseason.

If Keefe can get him to use his one strength - his size - he can still have value. But if he can't do that effectively, he will be demoted, and very likely go unclaimed.

My HB hockey pool team has eaten poop with a big spoon this week. The star names on my team have done (frank) all. When Olaffson is your leading point getter, that's not a good sign.

I just don't see his role on an NHL team. He isn't offensively gifted. He is pretty good on faceoffs but I wouldn't say he's gifted defensively. Best case scenario would be for him to model his game after Hyman and just be a puck hound. But I don't see that happening.

I hope he can turn into something, but if I were him I would definitely be saving the majority of my paycheques.

Yeah, he should probably be studying up on Europe and the KHL.

I see him being a Marincin for the Leafs the next 3-4 years.
Just keep signing 1 year deals for the league minimum and bounce around the Marlies/press box/Leafs.

Its a pretty sweet life at the end of the day. Get paid 700k to be a warm body.

As hard as it is to believe, with Jim Benning being a complete moron, he’s actually put a better team together than Kyle Doofus

Let the games begin

Could be.

Players have lives, they have the day off he could of easily flown home for something. JT has had to do it the last week I think? With his family issue.

I’m always concerned when a plucky underdog team like the leafs come to town.

The Canucks never take bottom feeders seriously. Ends up biting them later.

Good luck Tuesday.

I just thought I’d remind them what a failure their rebuild has been.
